Automate screenshots: keypress1 pause keypress2 pause keypress1 ... and so on

Recommended Posts

I have not been here for a long time and now there is a need you may are interested in?

I want to automate the following:

Keypress Win+print (Take a screenshot of the whole desktop)
wait for n seconds
Keypress arrow right
wait for n seconds

and so on.

Any help that let me solve this problem soon is very welcomed.

Best wishes
Undekaeder

my final solution (to be compiled):

HotKeySet("{Esc}", "Stop")
Func Stop()
Exit
EndFunc

$numberofpages = 0

$numberofscreens = InputBox("How many screenshots should be saved?", "Enter the number of screenshots")
$pause = InputBox("Pause", "Enter the time between screenshots and pageturns — depends on the time it takes the browser to present the new content.")

While 1
savescreenandturnpage()
 $numberofpages += 1
 If $numberofpages = $numberofscreens Then
     Send("{Esc}")
     EndIf
WEnd

Func savescreenandturnpage()
Send("{RIGHT}")
Sleep($pause)
Send ("#{Printscreen}")
Sleep(1500)
EndFunc

Autoit is really excellent!

What is this for ?  I do not see any usage for it.  Maybe there is a better approach than using key presses to automate the application.  Let us know more of what you are after.  Thanks.

Post your code.

Would be much better to wait for the OP to answer your (already earlier ) asked question, as @Nine is likely unable to answer it. ;)

Thank you for your interest.

I would like to use such a tool to be able to make screenshots of pages (images) that are available via archive.org. At this moment I have to do this work step by step manually.

Maybe the one or other is interested too?

A few lines of code that could save time.

Thank you and best wishes
