#forceref - What does it do

7 posts in this topic

#forceref $var, $var2

So, I've looked at the Help files (including the wrapper tools), searched the forums, etc - but can't find anything on what the heck that does.

I see this in a few scripts, but have no clue what it is about. Is it beneficial? If so, wouldn't it make sense to add it to the Help file?

Thanks!

Wow, hadn't thought to use google instead of the search here lol.. goes to show how good the forum search is.

Thanks everyone for responding. I understand now. Gladly I don't run all the au3check options so I don't need it. :x

I do use #forceref, and find it a nice reminder of what vars are not used in a function. In dev mode, or just in general when using local Enum parts (usual with (fixed) enumerated field_name_const for data array's)
