Ascend4nt
#forceref $var, $var2 So, I've looked at the Help files (including the wrapper tools), searched the forums, etc - but can't find anything on what the heck that does. I see this in a few scripts, but have no clue what it is about. Is it beneficial? If so, wouldn't it make sense to add it to the Help file? Thanks! James
It's mainly used for handling WM_* functions, when there is no paramters for $lParam or $wParam (for example), you can #forceref them, so that Au3Check doesn't fail. Ascend4nt
Wow, hadn't thought to use google instead of the search here lol.. goes to show how good the forum search is. Thanks everyone for responding. I understand now. Gladly I don't run all the au3check options so I don't need it. MvGulik
I do use #forceref, and find it a nice reminder of what vars are not used in a function. In dev mode, or just in general when using local Enum parts (usual with (fixed) enumerated field_name_const for data array's) Edited December 16, 2010 by MvGulik "Straight_and_Crooked_Thinking" : A "classic guide to ferreting out untruths, half-truths, and other distortions of facts in political and social discussions.""The Secrets of Quantum Physics" : New and excellent 2 part documentary on Quantum Physics by Jim Al-Khalili.
