Should _OL_Warnings click through the security popups when the workstation is locked?

I'm trying to send an automated email while the workstation is locked. User has already logged in, outlook running (or not, doesn't matter) and used Win+L (Ctrl+Alt+Del, Lock computer) to lock the computer.

When I unlock the computer, I see the email in the outbox, Popup Security warning is there and then the script completes, automatically clicking through the warnings and sending the email.

The script waits until I log back in to complete the popups,

The script works just fine if I am logged in.

Should this work while the screen is locked?

_OL_Warnings uses Send and Control* functions. AFAIK they only work as long as a user is active.

Which version of Outlook do you run?

got my answer here. http://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/FAQ#Why_doesn.27t_my_script_work_on_a_locked_workstation.3F

On a locked station any window will never be active (active is only dialog with text "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del"). In Windows locked state applications run hidden (behind that visible dialog) and do not have focus and active status. So generally don't use Send() MouseClick() WinActivate() WinWaitActive() WinActive() etc. Instead use ControlSend() ControlSetText() ControlClick() WinWait() WinExists() WinMenuSelectItem() etc. This way you may have your script resistive against another active windows. It's possible to run such a script from scheduler on locked Windows stations.

I will see about updating the script with the supported code.

AFAIK the pop ups should diappear as soon as you have installed an up-to-date virus scanner.

The problem is that the Security Center service is disabled. This being a work computer, I don't want to change that. They must have a reason to disable it.

We are running up-to-date antivirus but, since the Security Center Service is disabled it does not report that status to Outlook.

I don't get the security pop ups here, so I can't test.

It would be interesting to know which function call stops the script.

Looks like "WinActivate" stops the script when the screen is locked.

Seems that there is no workaround, sorry.

Another solution could be this tool to replace _OL_Warnings and click away the security pop ups.

Working with Outlook 2010.  I have an application that generates Outlook emails with PDF's attached already.  I am attempting to create a script that will intercept these emails and read the name of the attachment, parse that name and extract specific portions of the name and finally, append that extracted information to the subject line.

Using a working script, I have a framework in place, but have not hit upon the trick to read the name of the attachment.  Can anyone assist?

And the sign said 'Long Hairded Creepy People Need Not Apply' ... So I stuffed my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why?

Of course I got distracted by other projects, but I finally got back to this.  It took a little fiddling, but I got it to work.  Thanks for help!

Hi,

I have a problem using the Outlook UDF. I want du access the contacts in Outlook, wich is working so far. My Problem is that I don't get the Information for the phone numbers (last name and first name is working fine). My scirpt shold read the phonenumbers form Outlook an save it into a xml file which shoult be later uploaded to my Fritzbox.

Hope for your help!

#include<OutlookEX.au3>

$telefonbuchXML = @WorkingDir & "" &"telefonbuch.xml"
$telefonbuchName = "Mein-Telefonbuch"

; Outlook öffnen
$oOutlook = _OL_Open()

; Kontakte aus Outlook in Array übergeben
$arrayKontakte = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,"*Kontakte",$olContact)
If @error = 0 Then
_ArrayDisplay($arrayKontakte, "OutlookEX UDF: _OL_ItemFind Example Script - Find contacts by firstname")
Else
    MsgBox(48, "OutlookEX UDF: _OL_ItemFind Example Script", "Error finding a contact. @error = " & @error & ", @extended: " & @extended)
EndIf

; Anzahl Einträge/Kontakte in Array
$anzahlKontakte = UBound($arrayKontakte,1)

; xml Datei im aktuellen Verzeichnis erstellen und Grundstruktur aufbauen
FileWriteLine($telefonbuchXML,'<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>')

If you do not specify any parameters for _OL_ItemFind to return then you get "FirstName,LastName,Email1Address,Email2Address,MobileTelephoneNumber" for contacts.

What's the name of the parameter where your telephone number is being stored?

Use

$arrayKontakte = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,"*\Kontakte",$olContact, "", "", "", "BusinessTelephoneNumber,CompanyMainTelephoneNumber")

or any of the telephone parameters you fine here.
