HurleyShanabarger Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Hello, from my script I am loading a excel workbook into a new instance of excel and I need to detect, when it has been closed. Within the excel document macros are used by the user, which for example are using "Application.FileDialog". Currently I am using _Excel_BookList to see, if the document is still open. However when the Save-Dialog is active or the Application.FileDialog I am unable to detect if the Excel book was closed or just a dialog is active. Is there anyway to check this? Is there any way, to detect this?
water Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 You can use Excel events. Means: A function gets triggered when an event happens. Nine Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Make sure you check the events supported by you Excel version. For example, AfterSave event is only available on Excel 2010 and after. “They did not know it was impossible, so they did it” ― Mark Twain Spoiler Block all input without UAC Save/Retrieve Images to/from Text Monitor Management (VCP commands) Tool to search in text (au3) files Date Range Picker Virtual Desktop Manager Sudoku Game 2020 Overlapped Named Pipe IPC HotString 2.0 - Hot keys with string x64 Bitwise Operations Multi-keyboards HotKeySet Recursive Array Display Fast and simple WCD IPC Multiple Folders Selector Printer Manager GIF Animation (cached) Debug Messages Monitor UDF Screen Scraping Round Corner GUI UDF Multi-Threading Made Easy Interface Object based on Tag
