Is there anyway of actually showing a webpage in the input box, or does it just not support that?

Did you have a look at the example in _IECreateEmbedded?

This embeds a browse robject in a GUI.

If this isn't what you want, could you please describe your problem in detail?

Do you mean something like below?

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <EditConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <IE.au3>

$oIE = ObjCreate("Shell.Explorer.2")

$Form1 = GUICreate("", 670, 481, 193, 125)

GUISetState()
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 50, 40, 81, 25, $BS_PUSHLIKE)
$Button2 = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 154, 40, 89, 25, $WS_GROUP)
$Button3 = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 266, 40, 89, 25, $WS_GROUP)
$Button4 = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 370, 40, 89, 25, $WS_GROUP)
$Button5 = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 482, 40, 89, 25, $WS_GROUP)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("THIS IS A DRAFT CONCEPT ONLY .. " & @CRLF & "All content is for testing purposes only and are not tutorials" & @CRLF &"", 154, 395, 250, 60)

$GUIActiveX = GUICtrlCreateObj($oIE, 50, 71, 450, 275)

$oIE.navigate("http://google.com")

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

    EndSwitch
WEnd
