As I explained previously, the resizing was prevented by the Return 0 in the message handlers, this was a demo of how to detect them not how to resize a window. I'm pretty sure we are all aware of how to resize a window with the mouse. The post in #37 now allows you to resize the window as well because it seems people want everything.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

@BrewManNH
I'm sorry if my previous posts in this thread were annoying.
I am very glad that you have created these examples, because they are very helpful.

Kind regards

Thanks!

I started off with OnEvent, but it's limited aka listview, so I added WM_Notify.  Then I realized that OnEvent and WM are not really compatible.  Then I added WM_Command for key events and wanted to combine the WM code, but mine was totally different, so I had to find out which method to use, and if it could even be done.  IMHO a keyboard/mouse macro development language should make it quick and easy to do keyboard and mouse operations :P

This is the code that I pieced together from various places, both are probably superseded by the bitand/bitshift method.

Func WM_COMMAND($hWnd, $iMsg, $iwParam, $ilParam)
    Local $hWndFrom, $iIDFrom, $iCode
    ;If Not IsHWnd($Input2) Then $hWndEdit1 = GUICtrlGetHandle($Input2)
    ;If Not IsHWnd($Input3) Then $hWndEdit2 = GUICtrlGetHandle($Input3)
    $hWndFrom = $ilParam
    $iIDFrom = _WinAPI_LoWord ($iwParam)
    $iCode = _WinAPI_HiWord ($iwParam)
    Switch $hWndFrom
Func WM_NOTIFY($hWnd, $iMsg, $iwParam, $ilParam)
    #forceref $hWnd, $iMsg, $iwParam
    Local $hWndFrom, $iCode, $tNMHDR, $tInfo
    $tNMHDR = DllStructCreate($tagNMHDR, $ilParam)
    $hWndFrom = HWnd(DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "hWndFrom"))
    ;$iIDFrom = DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "IDFrom")
    $iCode = DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "Code")
    $tInfo = DllStructCreate($tagNMITEMACTIVATE, $ilParam)
    $tIndex = DllStructGetData($tInfo, "Index")

You've answered a lot of my questions in one thread!

Thanks :)

Added this to handle $WM_NOTIFY

        Switch $iMsg

            Case $WM_NOTIFY
                local $tNMHDR = DllStructCreate($tagNMHDR, $lParam)
                local $iCode = DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "Code")
                Switch $iCode
                    Case $NM_CLICK
                        local $hWndFrom = HWnd(DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "hWndFrom"))
                        local $tInfo = DllStructCreate($tagNMITEMACTIVATE, $lParam)
                        local $tIndex = DllStructGetData($tInfo, "Index")
                        TrayTip("WM_NOTIFY","",5)
                        Switch $hWndFrom
                            case $hwListView1             ;clicked on listview1
                                TrayTip(0,"NOTIFY","Clicked LV1 - index=" & $tIndex,"")
                            case $hwListView2
                                TrayTip(0,"NOTIFY","Clicked LV2 - index=" & $tIndex,"")
                        EndSwitch ;$NM_Click
                EndSwitch ;$WM_Notify

            Case $WM_COMMAND

If you need more information about message handling and ListViews, check out the example for _GUICtrlListView_Create. There's a lot of information in that example that pertains to handling listview events.
