Google Calendar Sync

Just got an Important Announcement email from "The Calendar Team" regarding Google Calendar Sync that by August 1st, 2014 this application will stop working. Basically, it synchronizes your Google calendar with Microsoft Outlook.

Is there a way we can go about accomplishing the same thing using Autoit?

I wouldn't mind putting in the work, but I haven't got the foggiest idea of even where to start! (>OutlookEX.UDF, Water?)

Not sure how many in the community depends on this sync function, but I've been using it daily for years. Please help.

The alternative is to get subscribe to a business level version with Google, but I'm not a business. $10 a month adds up pretty quickly and would surely cut into my coffee fund.

I decided to purchase a solution called gsyncit from fieldstone software.

It will synchronize not only your calendar, but contacts, notes, etc. You can do a search for it, or click here.

I do not quite understand the problem.
I use Thunderbird and Lighting Appendix I normally synchronizes with Google calendar.
The same on my phone (Android) I am using an external application (not from Google's) and also the calendar works.

So far I do not understand what the problem is ?

Does that only an additive to Outlook ?

Yeah, I don't think Outlook was playing nicely. I once tried out Thunderbird...maybe I should've stuck with them. However, gsyncit (one of the 6 in your list of alternatives) works fine for me and synchronizes also my contacts, evernote, dropbox along with my calendar.

Some time ago I start with making UDF for Google Calendar, but I stuck with primary thing, authentifiaction, and I droped this project.

Maybe somebody will do the first step...
