AutoIt Eye Clock v1.3.1 build 2015-06-28

Pretty cool.  A couple of ideas I thought of.  It would be neat of there were eye lashes that twitched to show seconds or maybe the eyes blink at an interval, (5 seconds, 6, 10).

BrewManNH

You could actually do this clock where the left eye gives the hour/minute depending upon where the eye is in relation to the hour and how far along it is into it like you have now. That way you wouldn't need to look at both eyes to tell the time. The right eye could be used for the seconds.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Eyes at the top, normal (analogue) clock for nose, 1 and 0's for the (seconds) teeth, for a complete clock "face". :)

Thanks for your feedbacks .

The challenging part is to find appropriate images. I will see whether I can add your ideas to the clock design.

@BrewManNH: I did not understand what you mean regarding the left eye. Any example?

This would result in something like this.... :D  (Picasso clock)

P.S.

Nice clock of course!

I think BrewManNH basically meant change the right eye to seconds and infer minutes based on how far into the hour the left eye is.  The only problem I see with that idea is precision.  It's easy to determine what the hour is, but due to the large size of the pupils I would think anyone would be hard pressed to tell the difference between say 12:00 and 12:10 or 7:30 and 7:40.  I tried changing line 63 to use @SEC instead of @MIN just to see what it looked like...pretty fun.

edit:  What about a highlight that circled the left pupil to represent minutes?

I like Lakes idea too.  I can envision a cool binary clock scheme for the teeth.

I updated the code and added the nose (semi circle) for representing the seconds.

Actually I don't think it is a good idea to "overload" the "face" with displaying anything else like date, daylight, etc.

But I'm thinking of adding some gimmicks that the eyes "going crazy"...

May I ask...what is the long string for $Pupil (does that draw it)?

May I ask...what is the long string for $Pupil (does that draw it)?

It is a binary string (a png image) encoded in base64 format to save some bytes when embedding files into the script.

The PNG image will be loaded directly from the memory and converted to a gdi+ bitmap format.

Updated the code.

By default the windows size is now at 50% and added 2 additional "crazy" modes which may appear every minute.

@Chimp, spudw2k and DarkwarlorD: thanks for your feedback.

The steps for ScreenSaver, not sure about Widows lock screen (are you talking about the logon security window?)

Rename the EXE extension to SCR

Right click on renamed file and click on install

The Screen Saver screen comes up and you can add it to your other screen savers.

I do not have permissions to do change the screensaver - can someone verify that this works (attached - or create your own)?

Here another example to mark the desktop to get the marked region for capturing. This example is not perfect and not very fast (room for improvements).

Just press the lmb and move your mouse. When lmb is released you can adjust the size of the window by dragging the white rectangle to any direction. Rmb will move the marked area.
Press ESC to get the coordinates of the marked region.
If you have any improvements, please post it here.

      Tested on Win10 x64 only.

      Hey, All!

I was looking into the help file at all the drawing utilities and I was wondering if you draw a translucent line that follows your cursor. Upon looking for ideas I came across this thread (1.0) and saw UEZ's response. I also came across another post that UEZ replied to and found this reply (1.1) where he shows how you can draw on the desktop. This is what I'm looking for however I'd still like to be able to interact with a designated application and have the line/curve/vector passively follow it. Obviously we don't move our cursor very linearly so it would have to be able to draw on vectors. Am I over complicating this?
Any ideas or starting points I should look more into?

      Hello,
I am making a program where the button is an image that "changes" when specific conditions are fullfilled. Problem is that these images have different dimensions and when a smaller picture is displayed over a bigger one both will be seen, therefore i would like the images to be hidden, invincible or, alternatively, deleted.
I have tried using _GDIPlus_GraphicsClear() with no luck
However that might just be me not using it right as im quite new to autoit
Here is the code if you want to test run it:
      Thanks to everyone helping!
