Change Color of text string

Recommended Posts

shaggy89

HI all,
        Just looking for a way that i can change the color of a string of text

e.g

$text "I need to be the color red"

simple im sure but i cant seem to find it.

the help file says

Local $iRedColor = _ColorGetRed(0x8080ff)

so i tried

$text =($iRedColor, "I need to be the color red")

any help would be great

Thanks

Shaggs

Where do you need to change the color? In a GUI, a Word document, somewhere else?

will be used to display what the user has typed.

so user would type in text via a gui using GUICtrlCreateInput and gets passed into the  GUICtrlCreateEdit so that would be displayed in back

but when a user presses a button i wanted a pre-canned message displayed in red in the GUICtrlCreateEdit field

shaggy89,

If you  want only specific lines to be displayed in red then you will need to use a RichEdit control - GUICtrlSetColor will change all text in a simple Edit control.

M23 you beat me to the puch. I looked at help file and @jguinch the help file says "

The control identifier (controlID) as returned by a GUICtrlCreate...() function, or -1 for the last created control."

as you can see mine is a pre made string

will look Into rich edit Shortly

shaggy98,

I use this function to write to RichEdit controls as it allows you to adjust the font size and attributes as well as the colour - here we leave the size and attributes as default and only adjust the colour:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <GuiRichEdit.au3>

$hGui = GUICreate("RichEdit Test", 320, 350)

$hRichEdit = _GUICtrlRichEdit_Create($hGui, "", 10, 10, 300, 220, BitOR($ES_MULTILINE, $WS_VSCROLL, $ES_AUTOVSCROLL))

GUISetState()

Sleep(1000)

; Write in black
_GUICtrlRichEdit_WriteLine($hRichEdit, "I am in BLACK" & @CRLF, Default, Default, 0x000000)

Sleep(2000)

; Write in red
_GUICtrlRichEdit_WriteLine($hRichEdit, "I am in RED" & @CRLF, Default, Default, 0xFF0000)

Sleep(2000)

; And back to black
_GUICtrlRichEdit_WriteLine($hRichEdit, "I am back in BLACK" & @CRLF, Default, Default, 0x000000)

While 1

    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            GUIDelete()
            Exit
    EndSwitch

WEnd

Func _GUICtrlRichEdit_WriteLine($hWnd, $sText, $iIncrement = 0, $sAttrib = "", $iColor = -1)

    ; Count the @CRLFs
    StringReplace(_GUICtrlRichEdit_GetText($hWnd, True), @CRLF, "")
    Local $iLines = @extended
    ; Adjust the text char count to account for the @CRLFs
    Local $iEndPoint = _GUICtrlRichEdit_GetTextLength($hWnd, True, True) - $iLines

    ; Add new text
    _GUICtrlRichEdit_AppendText($hWnd, $sText & @CRLF)
    ; Select text between old and new end points
    _GuiCtrlRichEdit_SetSel($hWnd, $iEndPoint, -1)
    ; Convert colour from RGB to BGR
    $iColor = Hex($iColor, 6)
    $iColor = '0x' & StringMid($iColor, 5, 2) & StringMid($iColor, 3, 2) & StringMid($iColor, 1, 2)
    ; Set colour
    If $iColor <> -1 Then _GuiCtrlRichEdit_SetCharColor($hWnd, $iColor)
    ; Set size
    If $iIncrement <> 0 Then _GUICtrlRichEdit_ChangeFontSize($hWnd, $iIncrement)
    ; Set weight
    If $sAttrib <> "" Then _GUICtrlRichEdit_SetCharAttributes($hWnd, $sAttrib)
    ; Clear selection
    _GUICtrlRichEdit_Deselect($hWnd)

EndFunc

Please ask if you have any further questions.

      Hello!

      I wrote myself a script to follow Google Maps Polyline encoding steps: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/utilities/polylinealgorithm, and that works (although I think that it's a bit janky), but now I'm having issues getting the output.

      When I run the script, all the points come out correctly in the console, and even when they're the only things that I log, it displays them fine. However, I'm adding each point into a variable to return all of them at once at the end, fully formatted, and it's only taking the very first point. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, as it seems fine.

      When run with the default value, it should output this at the end: Custom Polygon: _p~iF~ps|U_ulLnnqC_mqNvxq`@
      But instead I'm just getting this: Custom Polygon: _p~iF

      I know that it's reaching the string combination lines because it's logging the data before it (and even if a put log AFTER the $sPolygon &= $aPoints[0], it's logged fine).

      Here's my full code (problem is lines ~209 - 234, search "$sPolygon &= $aPoints[1]"):

      I've tried:
      $sPolygon &= $aPoints[0] & $aPoints[1] ;---- $sPolygon = $sPolygon & $aPoints[0] & $aPoints[1] ;---- $sPolygon = $sPolygon & String($aPoints[0] & $aPoints[1]) ;---- $sPolygon = String($sPolygon) & String($aPoints[0]) & String($aPoints[1]) ;---- $sPolygon &= $aPoints[1] $sPolygon &= $aPoints[0] ;----
      I'm sure it's something basic that I'm overlooking, but I don't understand why it's not combining the strings.
      Also, unrelated, why doesn't $LogFile = FileOpen($File, 9) create the directory/ file if they don't exist? 9 should be $FO_CREATEPATH (8) + $FO_APPEND (1)?
      Thanks!

      Hi!
      I want to get the signal in this website:
      https://binary-signal.com/pt/chart/eurusd
      I have tried using _IEBodyReadText  and some _StringBetween. What happens is that the text are being update every tick and _IEBodyReadText doesn't.
      To perform the update I used  _IEAction($oIE, "refresh") but it's not good because the website block me after some time due too many requests..
      Is there any other way to get this text every tick?
      PS: The text I want to get is WAIT, CALL or PUT.

      Here is the code:
      global $oIE = _IECreate ('https://binary-signal.com/pt/chart/eurusd', 0, 1 , 1 , 0) Local $sText = _IEBodyReadText($oIE) $result = _StringBetween ( $sText , 'PUTEUR/USD on Binary-signal.com', 'sinal está PRONTA') ;MsgBox ( 0, "asf", $result[0]) $espera=StringInStr($result[0], "WAIT") $compra=StringInStr($result[0], "CALL") $venda=StringInStr($result[0], "PUT") ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $espera) $n=0 $c=0 Captar() Func Captar() ;_IENavigate($oIE, "https://binary-signal.com/pt/chart/eurusd") ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $n) Local $sText = _IEBodyReadText($oIE) $result = _StringBetween ( $sText , 'PUTEUR/USD on Binary-signal.com', 'sinal está PRONTA') If (Not $compra=0) And $n=0 Then MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "COMPRE") $n=1 $c=$c+1 ;_IEAction($oIE, "refresh") Sleep(60000) Captar() ElseIf (Not $venda=0) And $n=0 Then MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "VENDA") $c=$c+1 $n=1 ;_IEAction($oIE, "refresh") ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $n) Sleep(60000) Captar() ElseIf (Not $venda=0) And $n=1 Then ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Esperando próxima rodada") $n=1 ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $n) ;_IEAction($oIE, "refresh") Sleep(60000) Captar() ElseIf (Not $venda=0) And $n=1 Then ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Esperando próxima rodada") $n=1 ;MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $n) ;_IEAction($oIE, "refresh") Sleep(60000) Captar() Else ;MsgBox("", "", "ESPERE") $n=0 Sleep(1000) ;_IEAction($oIE, "refresh") Local $sText = _IEBodyReadText($oIE) $result = _StringBetween ( $sText , 'PUTEUR/USD on Binary-signal.com', 'sinal está PRONTA') Captar() EndIf EndFunc

      This is another take on string triggers, triggers on specific strings.
      Able to simple text pasting,
      opening links (as long as there's a www. http:\\ or https:\\ at the beggining)
      and is able to open applications.
      The user selects the modifier key, and then uses a combination of that key with a couple others to perform tasks like
      screenshot the active window, (modkey + prtscr), turn off the screen (modkey + pause / break),
      open clipboard string in registry (modkey + R), change system volume (modkey + arrouw up/dn).
      The following keys pressed at the same time prompt for shutdown: S+D+T
      The following keys pressed at the same time prompt for restart: S+R+T
      Middle mouse button click on titlebar minimizes to tray, or a left mouse button click in the icon in the tray also minimizes.
      Trigger is set off by space or enter, and timeouts after 3 seconds.
      Shows your external, lan, and gateway ip's, can refresh with right mouse click, and opens the default browser if the correspondent button is pressed.
      Able to change system volume by a set percentage, reading from the inputbox the number the user sets, if 0 or empty uses system default.
      I made this because the existing string trigger applications didn't do it for me for a number of reasons.
      I did this for me, but if someone finds it useful all the better.

      Hi, everybody
      I look for GUI whose behavior similar to the message of an email client or antivirus
      In other words:
          Any PC screen able to calculate the size
          To consider the Task bar size
          To find the lower corner on the right/below and to nestle on it

      Notes:
      In GUI the GUICtrlCreateEdit field (as option) - that can be received and displayed through variable information
      Thanks a lot
      PS
      I use the translator, excuse if something is not clear

      Hi,
      I'd like to show a progress bar for an operation performed by an external program my script is running silently, I want to show it in a GUI I created using the GUICtrlCreateProgress but I have no idea how to do it.
      The important thing to point out is that there's no way of knowing how long the external program will run, as it is a file splitter and it depends on the size of file it splits and the split parts size.
      Can someone point me in the right direction or give me an example how to do so?
      This is my RunWait command:
      RunWait($MYFILES1 & '\fsplit.exe -split ' & $Size & ' mb ' & $File & " -f " & $File & "." & $extension) It uses multiple variables declared and set earlier in the script, how will I got about having the progress of that command shown using GUICtrlCreateProgress ? Is it possible?
      Thank you.
