Can AutoIT script using IE funcation without windows session

Hi ,Can AutoIT script using IE function without windows session?

I have requirement using AutoIT script creating  IE sessions to access a website remotely as heartbeat monitoring.  I setup task scheduler to run the script and have to setup task as "run only log where user is logged on"  to have windows session the autoIT works. Otherwise if setup as "run whether user is logged on or not" autoIT script wouldn't work.

Please help.

I think (not tested) IE require to be logged in windows session.
For this kind of stuff you should use @trancexx winhttp udf.

@NickLhj, welcome to AutoIt and to the forum.

you ought to carefully consider what exactly you need to monitor. if it's a server up/down status, a simple ping can do the trick. if it's the responsiveness of the web page, then INetRead() the index.html file (or whatever file your browser is loading). if it's some sort of action to be performed on the web page, write a php code and call it with INetRead(). all these do not require a user session.

if you must perform your monitoring as a mimic to user activity, and you have your script up and running, then configure a dedicated headless VM to logon automatically with a dedicated user account, and add a shortcut to your compiled script in that user's start menu "Startup" group.

Thanks @mLipok and @Orbs.  Yes. This monitoring is as  mimic  user activity like a normal web user to access the web page because some page require click a security image or input a calculation result. The scripts have to catch what the ajax controls and send/receive messages.  It is lots work for coding.  AutoItV3 + IE is quite simple solution and doing pretty well but just need the user window session exist.   Will try to make it "logon automaticall" .
