ElPandaRojo1 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 The truth is I do not know if this is correct, but I would like to know if there is any way to upload an application to the MSSQL server and download it from the autoit code, it is that I would like to make a Bot that updates itself but I do not know if this is possible from the server, if someone could help me, or telling me if this is possible or not. I thank you all
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Posted November 19, 2020 I am assuming the application is just a normal exe or MSI? "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. ElPandaRojo1 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Yes, it is an .exe application, an application already made from autoit.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Posted November 19, 2020 So yes, you can use something like PSExec (search the forum for tons of examples) to copy the executable from a network share, for example, and then run it. Be aware that running it remotely if you are performing human-interface functions such as Sending keys, clicking on items in a window, etc. will present some challenges. ElPandaRojo1 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 When referring to a shared resource it is something like a shared folder, I would like from the MSSQL server.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Posted November 19, 2020 Maybe you should explain in greater detail what you want to do. You said in your OP you want to "upload an application to the MSSQL Server", but you also say you want to "download it from the autoit code". I realize there is probably a language barrier here, but you are not making a ton of sense. So think about the following: Where will the exe reside? Do you plan to run the exe from there, or copy it locally to the MSSQL server? Let's answer those two questions before going any further. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. ElPandaRojo1 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) @ JLogan3o13 1. I'd like it to be located on the MSSQL server (so I can download it when a program is running). 2. I think it would be the opposite, I would like that when a program is executed locally it validates if there is a new version, and if there is, then it copies (downloads) me from the MSSQL server. Note: I already have a way to do this but from a shared folder, I would like to move to the server @Danp2 But from the MSSQL server? Edited November 19, 2020 by ElPandaRojo1

Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Posted November 19, 2020 So you want the executable to live locally on the SQL server, that is fine. The question I think both Danp2 and I are trying to pull from you is WHERE will it be pulling the update FROM if it finds one is needed? "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
