you could use

Send({alt})

that shoudl get the menu showing

EDIT: then you can work from there to click the menu items

I think the OP wants to know how to create one.

You have two options:

  • GUICtrlCreateMenu()
  • _GUICtrlMenu_CreateMenu()

I think you will have to reinstall AutoIt because it seems the Help file might be missing or corrupt?! Edited by guinness

If you want to just select a menu item from Notepad, here's code for File->Open:
