Need Help Converting Batch File FOR\DIR loop

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I've got everything complete in a script for repairing Microsoft SMS 2003 client other than a FOR loop. I was wondering if someone cloud help me with it.

the directory these batch commands are run in is C:\Windows\System32\wbem

for /f %%s in ('dir /b /s *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %%s

for /f %%s in ('dir /b *.mof') do mofcomp %%s

for /f %%s in ('dir /b *.mfl') do mofcomp %%s

additionally i need to ensure C:\Windows\System32\wbem is in the %PATH% variable at the begging of my script.

If someone can help me with the autoit code to do this it would be great

thanks

Look in the Help file for 'For...To...Step...Next' and then search the forum for RecFileListToArray.au3. This should get you started.

Thnks to everyone for your help,

While i did not get direct awnser you all gave me a good "concept"

Ended up using "RecursiveFileSearch" Function witten by WeaponX

So now i have:

$dlls = RecursiveFileSearch($wbemPath, "(?i).(dll)")
for $loop = 1 to $dlls[0]
RunWait("regsvr32 /s " & $dlls[$loop])
Next
$mofs = RecursiveFileSearch($wbemPath, "(?i).(mof)")
for $loop = 1 to $mofs[0]
RunWait("mofcomp " & $mofs[$loop])
Next
$mfls = RecursiveFileSearch($wbemPath, "(?i).(mfl)")
for $loop = 1 to $mfls[0]
RunWait("mofcomp " & $mfls[$loop])
Next

i also esxpanaded the capibliy to repair 64-bit WMI files

If @OSArch = "X64" Then
$64dlls = RecursiveFileSearch($wbem64Path, "(?i).(dll)")
for $loop = 1 to $64dlls[0]
  RunWait("regsvr32 /s " & $64dlls[$loop])
Next
$64mofs = RecursiveFileSearch($wbem64Path, "(?i).(mof)")
for $loop = 1 to $64mofs[0]
  RunWait("mofcomp " & $64mofs[$loop])
Next
$64mfls = RecursiveFileSearch($wbem64Path, "(?i).(mfl)")
for $loop = 1 to $64mfls[0]
  RunWait("mofcomp " & $64mfls[$loop])
Next
EndIf

Now all i have left is the PATH varible
