As these checking tools only use relatively simple logic (apologies to Jos and the others, but you know what I mean ) the error is often not quite what it seems. In this case I have often found that such an error is generated in another call to that function - the reported error is actually telling you that earlier calls have used the corect syntax. It took me a few minutes to find and correct solve an error like that in one of my scripts the other day - that is why I am fairly sure that you have the same sort of problem.

Can you post the whole script? I would be happy to look over it and see if I could spot where the problem lies.

That is exactly what I had the other day. Look at all the _ArraySearch lines in the script - in one of them there is an error. The REF line is just telling you about the first call to the function - which looks fine to me.

From the error text it looks as if you might perhaps have used a function call as the array parameter when calling _ArraySearch - you need to use a variable so that it can be accessed ByRef.

Step 1.

I modyfied my array declaration i search

$aTEST = StringSplit('1,2,3,4', ',')
$vValue = _ArraySearch($aTEST, '1', 0, 0, 0, 1)

Step 2.

I comment the code to check if this works without any problem when this is not used

all was ok

Step 3.

I try to moving fragment from step 1 to diffrent places in my scripts and of cours running AU3Check

Step 4.

what a shame

I was so blind

SOLUTION:

do not try to use any function from UDF before You include that UDF

 

EXPLANATION:

I was start to write some new fuctions

and start to wrtie them at BOF

I write them interspersed with conversation, writing on the forum and searching google

it all together it took me about 2 hours

So I forgot about that little detail how the transfer functions of the end of the script

I found something else, however, will describe in the next post, because it eventually want to end up so that you can finally read the solution to this problem

The strange thing is that I used these functions after another placed in the same UDF
_ArrayDisplay

and this function do not report any problem

even if I remove _ArraySearch from my script

One of your include files probably already has the Array.au3 file included.

You're right about that. Already I had many weird messages. Always appear together with others.

does not always solve the problems in order of their reporting.

but it should be noted that without this tool "AU3Check" we would be more blind than I was today

I'm sure a call to _ArraySearch and _ArrayDisplay in that case was not preceded by either a single line of code containing a call to #include

Running the <Scriptname>_Obfuscated script will always have all used functions/includes added into that script file, that's what obfuscator does as one of it's routines.
