z0ne
Hi there i've had a read of the forums and the wiki but i'm struggling to find a straight answer to my question. When using the windows info tool and getting this information for example: expandcollapse popup>>>> Window <<<< Title: Target File Class: #32770 Position: 990, 526 Size: 580, 341 Style: 0x96CC00C4 ExStyle: 0x00010101 Handle: 0x001F03E6 >>>> Control <<<< Class: ToolbarWindow32 Instance: 1 ClassnameNN: ToolbarWindow321 Name: Advanced (Class): [CLASS:ToolbarWindow32; INSTANCE:1] ID: 1088 Text: Position: 372, 6 Size: 176, 32 ControlClick Coords: 58, 15 Style: 0x50038945 ExStyle: 0x00000000 Handle: 0x000B04C8 >>>> Mouse <<<< Position: 1430, 584 Cursor ID: 0 Color: 0xFFFF00 >>>> StatusBar <<<< >>>> ToolsBar <<<< 1: 40971 2: 40961 3: 40962 4: 40970 >>>> Visible Text <<<< Save &in: Documents FolderView File &name: Download Save as &type: CEL datafile(*.dta) &Save Cancel >>>> Hidden Text <<<< Open as &read-only &Help I presume that the tools bar items are the four buttons which I dragged the window info tool over. Is there a simple way to click them or send a command to be pressed with the id's presented? thanks in advance z0ne

Solution jdelaney Posted October 2, 2013 Solution Share Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) Each button has a command id, which you can use with ControlCommand function, with the SendCommandID to initiate it: "SendCommandID", Command ID Simulates the WM_COMMAND message. Usually used for ToolbarWindow32 controls - use the ToolBar tab of Au3Info to get the Command ID. Example of manipulating the toolbar in the AutoIT Help file: #include <GuiToolbar.au3> #include <array.au3> $hwnd = WinGetHandle("AutoIt Help") $hControl = ControlGetHandle($hwnd, "", 1006) $icount = _GUICtrlToolbar_ButtonCount($hControl) ConsoleWrite("_GUICtrlToolbar_ButtonCount:" & $icount & @CRLF) For $i = 0 To $icount-1 $a = _GUICtrlToolbar_GetButtonInfo($hControl,$i) $b = _GUICtrlToolbar_GetButtonText($hControl,$i) $c = _GUICtrlToolbar_GetButtonRect($hControl,$i) $d = _GUICtrlToolbar_IndexToCommand($hControl,$i) ConsoleWrite("info=[" & $i & "]:" & _ArrayToString($a) & @TAB & $b & @TAB & _ArrayToString($c) & @TAB & $d & @CRLF) Next ; Send command for last button index ControlCommand($hwnd, "", $hControl, "SendCommandID", $d) Note: not all apps will expose all the data I'm querying, above. The command Id's are generally stale, so you could hard code them, then not have to worry about the instance of the button changing relative to system logic. If there are no changes, then mlipok's code is more than good enough. One other note, sometimes, sending the controlcommand will open a modal window, which will deadlock your script, so you would need to run the command through a 2nd instance: Func WGe_SendToolbarCommandId($hCallersWindow, $hCallersToolbar="", $iCallersCommandID="") ; Send command to a toolbar ;~ $giSubFunctionCounter += 1 ;~ If $gbPerformLog Then Var_SetLogAndActOnState($giLogState_Info, $gbLogLevel_Strt, "WGe_SendToolbarCommandId()", "Func=[WGe_SendToolbarCommandId]: Start with Params=[" & $hCallersWindow & "," & $hCallersToolbar & "," & $iCallersCommandID & "].") EndIf EndIf ;~ $giSubFunctionCounter -= 1 Return $bReturn EndFunc ;==>WGe_SendToolbarCommandId I'm not sure of the ClickIndex would do the same, but it probably would Edited October 2, 2013 by jdelaney IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window.
