CUI - how to get ConsoleWrite in CMD - run not compiled

3 posts in this topic

I was trying to run

AutoIt3.exe from CMD with that script:

ConsoleWrite('Some Test' & @CRLF)

so I open CMD and just type:

"C:\Users\user>"c:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\AutoIt3.exe"  "c:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\test.au3"

Is there any way to show this ConsoleWrite message in CMD without compiling the script ?

It seems that AutoIt3.exe doesn't send back his console output to the caller cmd prompt.
Anyway, if you force the redirection of the output of AutoIt3.exe using the dos redirector operator "|" and you send the output to the "more" command, then the "more" command will send his output back to your command prompt.

in short, try this:

"C:\Users\user>"c:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\AutoIt3.exe"  "c:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\test.au3" | more

a while back i was trying to do the same but didn't get a way to do so, I found no info in the forums, but while I was searching I found the cmd color udf and ended up using it instead, and with colors =P, it opened a cmd window while running without compiling, maybe you can look inside its code how it manage to show the cmd window while not compiled https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/126569-consoleau3-udf/
