philkryder Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) I've had a problem trying to use _IEPropertyGet with BUSY... We have a secure, internal website that opens in IE11. I can't share it. I want to have an AUTOit exe running continuously to warn our staff in certain circumstances. To do that, I want to look at the page and if it meets my criteria, I want to insert some HTML. I use ControlGetHandle("[ACTIVE]", "", "[CLASS:Internet Explorer_Server; INSTANCE:1]") ; to get the handle of the currently active instance of IE. That works fine. I then use __IEControlGetObjFromHWND($hControl_curr) to get the object. But, I can't use _IEPropertyGet on the object to determine if the window is busy. After looking in IE.au3 I believe that the reason is that the object is an HTMLWindow2 which doesn't work for object.Busy. I then tried to find the parent window object starting from using _IEPropertyGet (object,"hwnd") but, that also fails. I can't tell if the object is busy. I can't find the "parent" window to see if it is busy. Should I care if the window is busy before inserting the HTML? Is there an easier way to safely insert HTML? expandcollapse popup;AutoIt Version: 3.3.14.2 #include <IE.au3> #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> ConsoleWrite (@CR & @CR & "======================" & @CR) Local $ierrorSave = "" Local $iextendedSave = "" Local $sMsg = "" Local $oIE = _IECreate("http://google.com") $ierrorSave = @error $iextendedSave = @extended $sMsg = " test _IEPropertyGet _IECreate <_$ierrorSave>" & $ierrorSave & "<$iextendedSave>" & $iextendedSave & @CR ConsoleWrite ($sMsg) Local $sObjectNameInfo $sObjectNameInfo = String(ObjName($oIE,1)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,2)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,3)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,4)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,5)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,6)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & String(ObjName($oIE,7)) ConsoleWrite("$oIE>" & $sObjectNameInfo & @CR) Local $hControl_curr = ControlGetHandle("[ACTIVE]", "", "[CLASS:Internet Explorer_Server; INSTANCE:1]") ; $ierrorSave = @error $iextendedSave = @extended $sMsg = " test _IEPropertyGet ControlGetHandle <$hControl_curr>" & $hControl_curr & "<_$ierrorSave>" & $ierrorSave & "<$iextendedSave>" & $iextendedSave & @CR ConsoleWrite ($sMsg) Local $oControl_curr = __IEControlGetObjFromHWND($hControl_curr) ; get the OBJECT that contains the control... $ierrorSave = @error $iextendedSave = @extended $sMsg = " test _IEPropertyGet __IEControlGetObjFromHWND " & "<_$ierrorSave>" & $ierrorSave & "<$iextendedSave>" & $iextendedSave & @CR ConsoleWrite ($sMsg) $sObjectNameInfo = String(ObjName($oControl_curr,1)) $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,2) & "<") $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,3)& "<") $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,4)& "<") $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,5)& "<") $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,6)& "<") $sObjectNameInfo = $sObjectNameInfo & @CR & ">" & String(ObjName($oControl_curr,7)& "<") ConsoleWrite(@CR & "$oControl_curr>" & $sObjectNameInfo & @CR) $bIsBusy = $oControl_curr.Busy ; <<<<<<<<< this is the line 55 that fails - _IEPropertyGet uses object.busy - SO I tried it $ierrorSave = @error $iextendedSave = @extended $sMsg = " test _IEPropertyGet $oControl_curr.Busy) <$bIsBusy>" & $bIsBusy & "<_$ierrorSave>" & $ierrorSave & "<$iextendedSave>" & $iextendedSave & @CR ConsoleWrite ($sMsg) $hMainWindow = HWnd($oControl_curr.HWnd()); _IEPropertyGet ( $oControl_curr, "hwnd" ) $ierrorSave = @error $iextendedSave = @extended $sMsg = " test _IEPropertyGet HWnd($oControl_curr.HWnd()) <$hMainWindow>" & $hMainWindow & "<_$ierrorSave>" & $ierrorSave & "<$iextendedSave>" & $iextendedSave & @CR ConsoleWrite ($sMsg) #cs ******************* start results >"C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE\..\AutoIt3.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper\AutoIt3Wrapper.au3" /run /prod /ErrorStdOut /in "R:\Operations\MacroTools\AutoIT\tests\Busy.au3" /UserParams +>15:36:57 Starting AutoIt3Wrapper v.15.920.938.0 SciTE v.3.6.0.0 Keyboard:00010409 OS:WIN_7/Service Pack 1 CPU:X64 OS:X64 Environment(Language:0409) +> SciTEDir => C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE UserDir => C:\Users\Pkryder\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper SCITE_USERHOME => C:\Users\Pkryder\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE >Running AU3Check (3.3.14.2) from:C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3 input:R:\Operations\MacroTools\AutoIT\tests\Busy.au3 +>15:36:57 AU3Check ended.rc:0 >Running:(3.3.14.2):C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\autoit3.exe "R:\Operations\MacroTools\AutoIT\tests\Busy.au3" --> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop ====================== test _IEPropertyGet _IECreate <_$ierrorSave>0<$iextendedSave>0 $oIE>IWebBrowser2 Web Browser Interface for IE4.
