Hello,

little problem. I'm Italian (this is not the problem :-) )

When i write a script I use Msgbox function ... in this function i write some accent text like this Msgbox(64,"Informazione","Questa è una prova"). I save the script, run ... and the script automatically change like this Msgbox(64,"Informazione","Questa  Ã¨ una prova"). Is there a way to prevent this modification ???.

:rolleyes:

I'm Polish , and I also know this is not a problem ;)

but as to your question:

You do not say few important things:

Which AutoIt version you are using ?
Which SciTE version you are using ?

What you have ?

I think this is problem with your UTF encoding setting in SciTE .

Open     SciTEGlobal.properties    and check

Quote

#~ Enhance function of auto checking utf8: providing two methods
#~ utf8.auto.check=1 #  detect utf8 and add BOM automatically   Credits to SciTE-RU
#~ utf8.auto.check=2 # detect utf8 and do not add BOM
#~ utf8.auto.check=3 # detect ascii high characters and if none found set default encoding to UTF8 and add BOM
utf8.auto.check=4    # detect ascii high characters and if none found set default encoding to UTF8 and do not add BOM

# Unicode
#~ code.page=65001
code.page=0

You can also check for:

#~ output.code.page=65001
output.code.page=0

Upgrade to the latest version or add this to your sciteuser.properties to see if that fixes it:

utf8.auto.check=4
