If anyone has considered creating an interface for Notepad++ to support AutoIT, I think there would be a lot of interest.  I believe that Notepad++ is based on the same underlying editing engine as Scite.  I, for one, would be willing to pay for some of the Scite functionality for AutoIT to be ported to Notepad++.

Just an FYI: 

The public SciLexer source for AU3 is quite outdated, which means that the base AU3 lexer in Notepad++ will also be old and lacking functionality.
I've given up on trying to update all as it takes quite some time to maintain it all and keep everybody happy. :)

@Jos, make your self happy and make it work the way you like.  If others do not want to use what you contribute, let them leave it or do their own.  If you have an opportunity, please consider updating?
