I want to get $search value from selenium scripts. I tried this in selenium script "Runtime.getRuntime().exec("D:\\AutoItScripts\\fileconcept.exe" + Keyname); //keyname is the parameter which i have to pass it to autoit file. When i tried with this code its not working..is thr anyother way to do it. Edited January 4, 2017 by JLogan3o13

raji Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 HI Junkew , Im new to this autoit scripting.... I cant get your Reply to Autoit and JavaScript passing information topic...wiht this how i can pass the values from java to autoit script Spoiler Spoiler
junkew Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 @Raji not sure how much programming knowledge you have. Based on that its just a matter of implementation. You have to show some more coding / information on how you defined your intended solution Why do you write your test partly in java and partly in AutoIt? Its more efficient to do it all in 1 language. You started with: How can I pass from selenium script a value to AutoIt without giving your programming language (apparently now you revealed its java) It seems like your solutionattempt is : to write it from Java to an XML file then from XML your want to load it into AutoIt script but you write "This is my autoitscript to change the attirbute value of config file." which suggest you want to write to the xml file from AutoIt. My solution would be 1. make in AutoIt a small tcp/ip http listener see help files https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions/TCPSend.htm 2. base on 1 make Java the client to talk to the server as copy / pasted from help so then no intermediate xml file where you need to sync on when its save to read etc. FAQ 31 How to click some elements, FAQ 40 Test automation with AutoIt, Multithreading CLR .NET Powershell CMDLets
raji Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Hi Junkew, Im trying this for automation testing..So,How can i use this tcp/ip http listener concept.
junkew Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Run first the help file examples to understand the client and server concepts. Then build a.simple.server listener which you can call from java with a simple http url call.
