vagabond719 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I am looking for some suggestions on how I might be able to implement this. I would like to be able to refresh a ListView whenever the DB updates. I know C# has AJAX to handle this. Is there any options in AutoIt that I might be able to use? I do not have any code yet and mainly needing some direction. Thanks,

vagabond719 Posted June 22, 2017 Author Posted June 22, 2017 I am currently using Access via ODBC to keep track of data. I have built queues for each individuals. I am also monitoring a shared mailbox. So ideally what I would like to do is when I find a new email belonging to that person I would refresh their queue.

KickStarter15 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 @vagabond719, You can try using FileGetSize() function, by this, you can add your loop section if file size was changed and then do the auto refresh if size does not match with your previous DB from the updated DB. From Help: #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> Example() Func Example() ; Retrieve the file size (in bytes) of the AutoIt executable. Local $iFileSize = FileGetSize(@AutoItExe) ; Display the file size and convert to a readable form. MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", ByteSuffix($iFileSize)) EndFunc ;==>Example Func ByteSuffix($iBytes) Local $iIndex = 0, $aArray = [' bytes', ' KB', ' MB', ' GB', ' TB', ' PB', ' EB', ' ZB', ' YB'] While $iBytes > 1023 $iIndex += 1 $iBytes /= 1024 WEnd Return Round($iBytes) & $aArray[$iIndex] EndFunc ;==>ByteSuffix Hope this is what you need. rootx Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 You need an event Listener who get the email event and than update the listview, Im not sure if Autoit have this function like javascript, java etc... but you can try with a DO While cicle to check continually difference in bytes of your .mdb db. and if the size changed in positive you need to update the listview. This would only work with a single user, if they are more than one you would not know which listview you should upgrade.
