Error On Compiling

Hello Guys

Just getting back into AutoIT and have hit a problem on Compiling.
Can anyone help to point what could be the cause of it not completing please (See Attached)?

The first thing that I would do is remove the au3stripper step and see if it successfully compiles.

@DazGizmo this directory from Message Box , you should add exclusion list in your AV software.

Still does not get through the process:
"11:39:06 Aut2exe.exe ended with errors because the target exe wasn't created, abandon build. (C:\Users\darre\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\Aut2exe\~AUADF2.tmp.exe)rc:2"

I have a thought it could be with were its putting the tmp building files... I have not found where, or if, this can be changed?

I turned off the AV completely  and it still failed..

it's most likely AV software causing this, but you could try compiling into a .a3x file "it's a radio button option on compile".  That does almost the same thing creating a single output file.  If that works, then you know there is no problem with the compile or the code. and it's AV or system restrictions of some type.

It has nothing to do with au3stripper and everything with aut2exe.exe packing everything into the target programs PE header.
So as indicated by several: Ensure the temp directory (C:\Users\darre\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\Aut2exe\) is excluded from your AV as many AV programs do not like programs to thinker with the PE header.

Thanks so far to you and others... still no go with the "Error: Unable to add resources"... My Program runs no problem on the test run.

... and you are sure you have excluded that directory from your running  AntiVirus program(s) ?

I am pretty sure I have see attached:

What are you trying to add to the resources? 
Please show the #Pragma, #AutoIt3Wrapper directives and possible FileInstall() statements.
Also double check all names in these statements to ensure they are correct.

Thanks Guys...

Found the problem!... It was the icon file in the compiler making it fail!
Made an error I think in my *.ico image as it does not even preview in explorer..

Question: Why does it fail?
I got this error again on a other icon same problem

If i try the add the high quality icon it fail
and the lower quality works

 

Got the icon from a game exe using resource hacker
I have attach the 2 icon files so the dev can take a better look at it
Icon1 = high quality
Icon2 = next step down qualtiy

Also addit source where i got the icon from

When i try to open it with irfanView, receive the follow message:

Warning!
The file: “...\Downloads\Icon1.ico”  is a PNG file
with incorrect extension
Rename?

I suggest you use  IcoFX Portable  to convert to .ico

Merchants,

I cannot believe that after 13 years as a member of this forum you have not yet read or heard about the forum rules. And yet you post a game exe making it quite clear that you wish to extract an icon from it to use in a bot to skip the game intro. Those rules are quite specific in prohibiting any "Launching, automation or script interaction with games", so you are well out of order.

However, as the actual question deals with compiling and various icons I will leave the thread open - as long as any future posts are strictly limited to that subject. But please bear the rules in mind when posting in future.
