Maico29
Hey everyone, Let me start by saying that I am relatively new to using AutoIt but so far I have used it to automate basic repetitive functions programming CNC turrets which is great and has saved us a ton of time. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Here is the scenario. I have one folder that stores many .xml files and .dwg files basically you get one of each for each component that is generated. I would like for my script to upload an .xml file and parse the information then close and open the next available .xml file. I am trying to avoid using the .xml file names and would like to use next available based on time stamp or other possible feature. Here is what I have so far... _Striker() Func _Striker() Local $oErrorHandler = ObjEvent("AutoIt.Error", "_ErrFunc") Local $oXML = ObjCreate("Microsoft.XMLDOM") $oXML.setProperty("SelectionLanguage", "XPath") $oXML.load("C:\Users\Documents\Drawings\P01294-1-2-20.xml") Local $oSoftware_enum = Null Local $oSoftware_coll = $oXML.selectNodes("//main/order_entry/object_name") Local $oChilds_coll = Null For $oSoftware_enum In $oSoftware_coll $oChilds_coll = $oSoftware_enum.childNodes For $oChild_enum In $oChilds_coll $Var_A = ConsoleWrite($oChild_enum.text & @CRLF) Next Next $File_Name = $Var_A EndFunc This code does give me the object_name but as you can see I am specifying the file by its name which is something I am trying to avoid and my IT department does not want to invest the time of developing a quick script to open the autoit file and assign the object_name so I am trying to find a way around that. It would be great if I could get more information from the .xml file but the object name is the crucial piece of information. I have attached the XML file I am trying to parse. Again any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated. P01294-1-2-20.xml
