QUESTION WITH FUNCT : WD_DownloadFile (geckodriver) when applied in some “restricted area”

I beg your pardon for my very poor english

Funct: WD_DownloadFile run with command  InetRead.

When you are IN in web restricted area by your ID (user / psw), the funct WD_DownloadFile run with ERROR because of don’t recognize cookie session.

It seem that InetRead read the cookies system path (as same as internet explorer) instead of the path created by geckodriver, without founding cookie session with the conseguence error of “unautorized access”.

Question:
is it possible change InetRead with a assigned string link to a command WD_ExecuteScript ?

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Can you elaborate or show an example?

With “geckodriver” normally I use the funct “WD_ElementActionex” with the “click option”.
Main problem is showed in a Internal Revenue Service web site that I use.
This web site have a “reserved sign-in” to a special users category.
For privacy reason, is impossible for me share website that I use and my ID.
Direct call to URL using “inetread” command is the best but in some case doesn’t work with the response “unauthorized user”.
Now, I’m looking for a public web site that accept a “sign-in” for all users.
I’ll replay to you when I find it

Let me revise my earlier question -- How would you manually trigger the file download from within the browser?

Do you click a link, button, etc? What happens when you perform this same action using WD_ElementAction or WD_ElementActionEx?

When run this function, using same URL of link/button as above, the response is “unauthorized user”
IMHO ... Could be problem with the command InetRead within WD_DownloadFile ?

I understand what you want to do. However, it isn't working because InetRead occurs outside of the existing browser session so the authentication fails. This is why I was asking about how you would manually download the file using the browser. With this information, you should be able to download the file using one of the other webdriver commands to perform the needed action.

“Click option” within function “WD_ElementAction (WD_ElementActionex as well) it’s run properly and I use daily.
I would like use the function “WD_DownloadFile” because is customizable (e.g.: $sDest    - Full path, including filename, of destination file) 

For a direct link in reserved area, I use the function “WD_Navigate” … obv the destination-filename is saved in folder created when “geckodriver” runs with name fixed from server

As you've already experienced, _WD_DownloadFile won't work in your given scenario. I was trying to suggest alternative, but it sounds like you are already successfully using _WD_ElementAction. FWIW, you may be able to use some of the prefs as indicated by @mLipok above to control the download location.

wget and Func _WD_Cookies

I'm doing some tests and they seem to be working
