I try to use _GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup() funcion.

The help file and example are not clear to me - I just don't understand them (in this small part of course).

According to helpfile:

Quote
$iIndex Index where the group is to be added. If this is -1, the group is added at the end of the list.

But in the examples it is not added "at the end of the ListView"

So what kind of list it is ?

I even tried to play with the example and change:

_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($hListView, -1, 1, "Group 1")
    _GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($hListView, -1, 2, "Group 2")

to

_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($hListView, 2, 1, "Group 1")
    _GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($hListView, 3, 2, "Group 2")

and nothing new happend - no change at all.

What exactly $iIndex do?

Hello. Please try this in the example file. Instead of...

_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($idListview, -1, 1, "Group 1")
_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($idListview, -1, 2, "Group 2")

...we can try this :

_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($idListview, -1, 1, "Group 1")
_GUICtrlListView_InsertGroup($idListview, 0, 2, "Group 2")

Does group 2 display before group 1?

The help file example, with an additional item and additional group, allows to better test the -1 value, changing it to 0 or 1 and see exactly where the group is inserted.

It indicates the place where a group will be displayed, relatively to the other groups.
Its value starts with 0, to display the group before any others, 1 to have it displayed just after the 1st group etc... or -1 to display it after all other groups.

Hope it helps :)
