Change mousespeed via AutoIt (like in System Settings)

Hey guys,

can i change the mouse speed via AutoIt?

I want to make a nice little GUI where all necessary settings, that have to be done while clicking through different windows UIs, can be done easily in one window.

First of all i want to change the mouse speed...

Is there any Function or DLL call or RegEdit able to do that?

i'd appreciate your help :graduated:

No, only WinAPI.au3 which is included with AutoIt.

No, I'm quite sure you only need WinAPI.au3. :graduated: funkey wrote down WinAPIEx.au3 but you don't need that include only WinAPI.au3.

It works with both - the normal built in and the extended version.

Funkey is maybe always using only the extended one and used it from habit...

      As my first stab at GUI scripting, I'm trying to write a simple graphical interface for Grep for Windows. I have a basic GUI, but I'm stuck on one point and nothing I've tried so far works. The sticking point is that while the Tab key works to move focus from one input control to the next, clicking the mouse on any but the first input does nothing. This seems like a basic feature of GUI functionality that should work out of the box (like Tab), but clearly I'm missing something. I tried (among many other things) Melba23's technique in the post below, but this doesn't do what I'm after -- getting the left click to set the insertion point for user input. Would greatly appreciate a pointer or two. 😉

      Hello everyone, I am working on a project which requires reading a few values from Excel, the catch is that I need it to be very fast... unfortunatley I found out that read operations using the supplied Excel UDF are very slow, more than 150 ms for each operation on average
      Here is my testing setup that I made:

It would be nice if I can bring this down to 100 ms somehow, I am not very experienced working with MS office so I thought about asking you folks for help and advice on how I can optimize my script to squeeze out every bit of performance that I can get from this script

      Hi, when I call a MsgBox function I can use a "$MB_SERVICE_NOTIFICATION" flag so it will be displayed "on the current active desktop, even if there is no user logged on to the computer.". That works just great. Is there a way to do the same to Autoit GUI Form so it will be visible on desktop even if running from system account and user is not logged?

      I've written a script that will move my mouse to a location on the screen whenever my remote access software becomes active, the problem I have is that as soon as the remote access software becomes active it appears to capture the mouse and keyboard so nothing happens when I use MouseMove().
       
      Is there any way around this?
