Copying files to multiple locations through internet

My AutoIT scripts is regulary updated. I need to copy those scripts to multiple locations through internet,

let say 20 or 50 locations.

Any ideas how to do that?

I'm thinking like having a service running on those locations waiting for commands or something like that.

You're over thinking this. Have a text file hosted online that has a version number and then in your application code it in such a way to periodontally (every 7 days) using InetRead, check the version against your application version and download If there is a mismatch) using InetGet.

If you check the source code for SciTE Jump you will see a function called update which shows you how to update your running application. I also have an example in my signature called _SelfUpdate.

So all in all, water was right.

If you want to "push" updates, then you would have to look at TCP, open ports, knowing their IP address...honestly it's overkill for what you want. Which is how can I have automatic updating.
