DataMatrix barcode to Excel

6 posts in this topic

I notice that it's easy to convert text to DataMatrix free online website then copy the barcode from website to excelsheet, but does anyone know a better way of doing this directly with autoit and excel instead of going through website?

found out a way to do it with vb without autoit... Works great.

I know this is not autoit related anymore, but I'll upload my simple. I know it's very basic and someone can shorten the code down.

Hi asianqueen

the web link you used in the excel macro can also be used in AutoIt of course.
I post it in this snippet, maybe can be of interest also for others.

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <IE.au3>
Local $oIE = _IECreateEmbedded()
$Form2 = GUICreate("Datamatrix", 400, 310)
$Input1 = GUICtrlCreateInput("the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog", 5, 5, 390, 21)
GUICtrlCreateObj($oIE, 8, 35, 385, 230)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Get datamatrix", 5, 270, 385, 33)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            _IENavigate($oIE, "http://datamatrix.kaywa.com/img.php?s=5&d=" & GUICtrlRead($Input1))
            ControlFocus("", "", $Input1)
        Case $Input1
            _IENavigate($oIE, "http://datamatrix.kaywa.com/img.php?s=5&d=" & GUICtrlRead($Input1))
            ControlFocus("", "", $Input1)
    EndSwitch
WEnd

edit:

P.S.

I think that with water's >excel UDF that image can be inserted into excel's cells.

I know, but now i Type this post from my smartphone you must wait for example.

EDIT:

Previously not quite well I read your intentions.

Writing "directly with autoit and excel" you mean without additional software, or at least you mean without additional paid / commercial software.

Sorry I chceck the feature which I mean.

Unfortunately this is what I had in mind turned out to be commercial.
