What is wrong with this script ? I cannot open it.

I've written a script in May, didn't touch it for some months then i tried to open it today.

What happened to my file ? It seems to be encrypted or corrupt.

The first lines look like this:

I don't know if it matters, but: I've written it while using windows 7 32-bit and now i have windows 7 64-bit. All of my other scripts look normally.

I'm now using the 32-bit version of Autoit but that doesn't really matter since the script is just a text file.

Could you please help me with some advice ?

Where is the original code, the au3 file? Do you still got it with you?

This file has 9 KB and has the .au3 extension. I'm pretty sure it isn't compiled.

Well whatever it is, it is not an autoit script.

Perhaps it once was, but it is not now, and what happened to it only you can answer, since it's your script.

Maybe it's had an extension renamed from a3x

What did the script do?

This totally sucks.

The script used ie.au3 to get some data out of my webpage then used _filewritefromarray to write it to a text file.

I can't possibly understand what is going on.

When you use sctie4autoit a backup of the au3 is usually created.

It has never created a backup for me. Could you please tell me where i can find this option ?

Don't know sorry. As far as I'm aware it is enabled by default, you would have to turn it off, if you can for it not to make a backup.

For the record, what version of AutoIt and scite are you using and what version was this script created in.

I'm always using the latest version. This script was created in May with the version that was up to date at that time.

I'm stumped to say the least.

As am I, but if you never encrypted it yourself in some fashion, It's gone.

Learn from it and start again.

I think a backup is created each time you use tidy to format your code (Crtl + t)

you must to download SciTE4AutoIt3.exe, it contains addons tools for autoit.

you open tools/scite config. You search backup strategy and you can modify the number after "Keep"
