antmar904 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hi All, What i am trying to accomplish is have a gui so a user can browse to a directoy with pdf files in it and print (send files to HP printer) the files in the exact order as they are seen within that directory. Im having trouble finding a way to send the files to the printer that the user selects.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted September 10, 2014 Moderators Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) antmar904, look at _FileListToArray to list your files. As far as printing, have you tried a forum search? I see over 1000 topics on the subject of printing out there. If you're running into issues trying to print, then please post your script so we can help. Edited September 10, 2014 by JLogan3o13 "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. antmar904 Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 This is what i have so far #include <ButtonConstants.au3> #include <EditConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <GUIListBox.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> #include <Array.au3> #include <File.au3> $Form1 = GUICreate("Print Dir", 522, 268, 500, 357) $btnCancel = GUICtrlCreateButton("Cancel", 408, 216, 75, 25) $btnPrint = GUICtrlCreateButton("Print", 408, 184, 75, 25) $List1 = GUICtrlCreateList("", 32, 48, 337, 188) ;$List1 = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 32, 48, 337, 188) $btnBrowse = GUICtrlCreateButton("Browse", 296, 16, 75, 25) $folder = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 32, 16, 257, 25) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) Local $settings, $selectedfolder, $aFileList While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $btnBrowse $selectedfolder = FileSelectFolder ("Select Directory", "C:") GUICtrlSetData ( $folder, $selectedfolder) $aFileList = _FileListToArray ( $selectedfolder, "*", $FLTA_FILES) ;_ArrayDisplay ( $aFileList) For $i = 1 To $aFileList[0] GUICtrlSetData ( $List1, $aFileList[$i]) Next Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE ExitLoop EndSwitch WEnd However, When i browser to different directories it keeps the files in the last directory in the list and does not clear them everytime i select another folder.
JonathanD Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hi, this is what you want to do? While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $btnBrowse $selectedfolder = FileSelectFolder("Select Directory", "C:") GUICtrlSetData($folder, $selectedfolder) $aFileList = _FileListToArray($selectedfolder, "*", 1) ;~ _ArrayDisplay ( $aFileList) GUICtrlSetData($List1, "") If IsArray($aFileList) Then For $i = 1 To $aFileList[0] GUICtrlSetData($List1, $aFileList[$i]) Next EndIf Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE ExitLoop EndSwitch WEnd
antmar904 Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 @JohnathanD That worked perfect, thank you!
antmar904 Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Can someone help me with sending the files as they are listed in the folder to a printer to be printer out? i tried this: Case $btnPrint $printFiles = _FilePrint ( $aFileList) But that would be to simple and did not work.
jguinch Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 As JLogan3o13 said, there are a lot of topics about printing a pdf file. For my need, I use Sumatra PDF to print PDF files from my AutoIt scripts. It is a small PDF reader, doesn't need to be installed (standalone exe) and as some command line options to print files.
