_StringBetween and HTML

6 posts in this topic

Hi,

I have an HTML file that contains the following lines (each appears once):

<input type="hidden" name="id" value="">
<input type="hidden" name="id" value="test">

How can I retrieve the "test" of the second line with _StringBetween or any other method?

What I tried so far was something like?

$thisshoulditbe=_StringBetween($htmltext, '<input type="radio" name="time" value="','">') which did not work.

Have a play with this:

$txt='<input type="hidden" name="id" value="">' & @crlf & _
     '<input type="hidden" name="id" value="test">'

$aresult=StringRegExp($txt,'(?i)name="id" value="(.*?)">',3)
If @error Then Exit
$iOffset = @extended
For $i = 0 To UBound($aresult) - 1
    MsgBox(0, "RegExp: " & $i, $aresult[$i])
Next

In this case, + instead of * makes the difference

$txt='<input type="hidden" name="id" value="">' & @crlf & _
     '<input type="hidden" name="id" value="test">'

$aresult = StringRegExp($txt, '(?i)name="id" value="([^"]+)', 1)
If not @error Then  MsgBox(0, "", $aresult[0])

anyway, all is ok with your first _StringBetween main post :

#include <Array.au3>
#include <String.au3>

$txt='<input type="radio" name="time" value="">' & @crlf & _
     '<input type="radio" name="time" value="test">'

$thisshoulditbe=_StringBetween($txt, '<input type="radio" name="time" value="','">')
_ArrayDisplay($thisshoulditbe)

For $i = 0 To UBound($thisshoulditbe) - 1
    MsgBox(0, "StrBet #" & $i, $thisshoulditbe[$i])
Next

I would prefer to use IE.au3 instead parsing HTML like in this example:

#include <IE.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

_Example()
Func _Example()
    Local $oIE = _IECreate()
    _IEDocWriteHTML($oIE, '<input type="hidden" name="id" value="test value to check">')

    Local $oIE_Input = _IETagNameGetCollection($oIE, 'input', 0)
    MsgBox($MB_OK, 'Value', $oIE_Input.value)

EndFunc   ;==>_Example
