Multiline String frome a txt file

@AnnoyingClown I see what you mean about geckodriver not working. I'm sure there's a workaround. Easiest would be to put the text on the clipboard and then send a Ctrl+V to the element. Another option would be to update the element's value with multiple requests, one for each line. There may be a better option, but it will take some time to investigate.

@AnnoyingClown I think I found  a way to make this work with a modified version of _WD_SetElementValue. Please try the following and report back --

#include "wd_core.au3"
#include "wd_helper.au3"

Local $sDesiredCapabilities, $sSession
Local $sDelimiter = '\r\n'
;SetupChrome()
SetupGecko()
_WD_Startup()
$sSession = _WD_CreateSession($sDesiredCapabilities)

Local $sElement, $sText = '1234' & $sDelimiter & '5678' & $sDelimiter & '90' & $sDelimiter
_WD_Navigate($sSession, "https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_textarea")
_WD_LoadWait($sSession, 2000)

$sElement = _WD_FindElement($sSession, $_WD_LOCATOR_ByXPath, "//iframe[@id='iframeResult']")
_WD_FrameEnter($sSession, $sElement)

$sElement = _WD_FindElement($sSession, $_WD_LOCATOR_ByXPath, "//textarea[@id='w3review']")
_WD_SetElementValueNew($sSession, $sElement, $sText, $_WD_OPTION_Advanced)

Func SetupChrome()
    _WD_Option('Driver', 'chromedriver.exe')
    _WD_Option('Port', 9515)
    _WD_Option('DriverParams', '--log-path="' & @ScriptDir & '\chrome.log"')

    $sDesiredCapabilities = '{"capabilities": {"alwaysMatch": {"goog:chromeOptions": {"w3c": true, "excludeSwitches": [ "enable-automation"], "useAutomationExtension": false, "prefs": {"credentials_enable_service": false, "profile.password_manager_enabled": false}}}}}'
EndFunc

Func SetupGecko()
    _WD_Option('Driver', 'geckodriver.exe')
    _WD_Option('DriverParams', '--log trace')
    _WD_Option('Port', 4444)

    $sDesiredCapabilities = '{"capabilities": {"alwaysMatch": {"browserName": "firefox", "acceptInsecureCerts":true}}}'

EndFunc   ;==>SetupGecko

Func _WD_SetElementValueNew($sSession, $sElement, $sValue, $iStyle = Default)
    Local Const $sFuncName = "_WD_SetElementValue"
    Local $sResult, $iErr, $sScript, $sJsonElement

    If $iStyle = Default Then $iStyle = $_WD_OPTION_Standard
    If $iStyle < $_WD_OPTION_Standard Or $iStyle > $_WD_OPTION_Advanced Then $iStyle = $_WD_OPTION_Standard

    Switch $iStyle
        Case $_WD_OPTION_Standard
            $sResult = _WD_ElementAction($sSession, $sElement, 'value', $sValue)
            $iErr = @error

        Case $_WD_OPTION_Advanced
            $sScript = "Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(arguments[0].__proto__, 'value').set.call(arguments[0], arguments[1]);arguments[0].dispatchEvent(new Event('input', { bubbles: true }));"
            $sJsonElement = '{"' & $_WD_ELEMENT_ID & '":"' & $sElement & '"}'
            $sResult = _WD_ExecuteScript($sSession, $sScript, $sJsonElement & ',"' & $sValue & '"')
            $iErr = @error

    EndSwitch

    Return SetError(__WD_Error($sFuncName, $iErr), 0, $sResult)
EndFunc

Note: This will still error out with @CRLF or similar with Firefox, so you need to translate these to '\n' or '\r\n' prior to calling the function.

I think this should be mentioned in function header.

btw.
Working with text area you should not change value, try this script:

var myelement = document.querySelector('#w3review');
myelement.value
myelement.innerText ='1'
myelement.value
myelement.innerHTML ='2'
myelement.value

in browser console you will see:

Quote

var myelement = document.querySelector('#w3review');
myelement.value
'At w3schools.com you will learn how to make a website. They offer free tutorials in all web development technologies.'
myelement.innerText ='1'
'1'
myelement.value
'1'
myelement.innerHTML ='2'
'2'
myelement.value
'2'

This not only set value visually (rendered to end user), but also change them in DOM tree, which was not performed with each previous tries/examples.
