In running my scripts I find that syntax errors are not discoved until I actually execute that line of code. Is there a way to check for syntax error before the program executes?

Also is there a way to obtain the name of the function that you are currently in, example @FunctionName? It would be very useful for debugging purposes.

What kind of syntax error it is ? Is the Au3Check run before the script execution?

There is no such beast as @FunctionName. Unfortunately.

You can do something like this

EDIT: The most common of syntax errors that occur after running the script are usually empty vars or an array that failed to populate correctly(that I've seen in my experience at least).

For Au3Check to be invoked using the Ctrl + F5 hotkey, you will need SciTE4AutoIt3 >> http://www.autoitscript.com/site/autoit-script-editor/downloads/

The errors will appear in the console of SciTE.
