If you call the function, it will create a bat file that deletes your script.

So, as the last line of your script, do:

_SelfDelete(5)

That will run a bat file that "sleeps" for 5 seconds, then deletes the script (which should have ended by that point, so may be deleted)

I use a little different approach, creating a self-deleting .bat file and use FileInstall to include it in my executable. It seemed a little more straight-forward, since I'm not by any means a high-end coder.

_SelfDelete in my signature has more options. You don't have to call it at the end of your program, as it will monitor when the executable has closed and then delete.

I use a different method presuming program.exe exists in c:temp.

Anyways, it uses a hard-coded path because that path exists in the situation this script is run. I never would post code to a site expecting a user may use it exactly, it is merely an example and people can change it as it suits them. I am not in error in the way I have constructed the code nor is anyone else's ideas of how to do it. All that matters is if it works.

However, I just noticed that I should take out that variable in there, since I do make no reference to it and is not needed for the example.
