tauruzian
#include <extprop.au3> $PATH = FileOpenDialog("Select a file to read attributes",@ScriptDir,"All (*.*)") For $I=1 to 2 ConsoleWrite(@CRLF & $I & ": " & _GetExtProperty($PATH,180) ) Next Above code used, to get pdf properties. We have to choose the file from the file explorer to read the properties. How do I do if i want to read the properties from active window. For an example, I have pdf file open (A.pdf), instead I choose the file, I read the pdf properties from active file. Please advice. Moderators SmOke_N Posted December 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2014 https://www.google.com/webhp?ie=UTF-8#q=pdf+example-scripts+site:%2F%2Fhttp:%2F%2Fwww.autoitscript.com%2Fforum Pretty sure you can find what you're looking for there. I forgot that our search engine provides us with tiny urls or I would have shown you that way. Search -> Advanced -> (search for) pdf -> Title only -> Example Script forum That brought up the 7 or 8 pdf topics in example scripts that I'm sure have what you're looking for. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer. tauruzian
There is no issue in getting information/properties from the PDF. By using extprop.au3 I managed to pull the information that I want. I just having issue in pointing the PDF. I only get the pdf title name by using below code. WinActivate('[CLASS:AcrobatSDIWindow]') Global $sText = WinGetTitle("") How do I get the properties just based on the Wingettitte()?
Jfish
What do you mean by "pointing the PDF" - do you mean pointing at the active PDF? If so, if you have Acrobat (not reader) you can also do >this. It shows the active PDF. Otherwise, can you explain that?
