j0kky Posted November 11, 2016 Share Posted November 11, 2016 I have been able to reproduce your behavior 2 times\20 tries. I think there is some error with _IECreate, you can implement a COM error handler to see what is happening. mLipok Posted November 11, 2016 Share Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) The problem is related to _IEQuit which not always properly close IE Object. Try this: ; Attach to a browser with "AutoIt" in its title, display the URL #RequireAdmin #include <IE.au3> #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> _Example() Func _Example() Local $oIE = Null Local $oIE1 = Null For $i = 1 To 20 ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) $oIE = _IECreate("www.autoitscript.com") ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) $oIE1 = _IECreate("www.google.com") ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) $oIE = _IEAttach("AutoIt") ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) ConsoleWrite("! INDEX:" & $i & " URL: " & _IEPropertyGet($oIE, "locationurl") & @CRLF) _IEQuit($oIE) If @error Then ConsoleWrite('! ---> @error=' & @error & ' @extended=' & @extended & ' : $oIE' & @CRLF) ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) _IEQuit($oIE1) If @error Then ConsoleWrite('! ---> @error=' & @error & ' @extended=' & @extended & ' : $oIE1' & @CRLF) ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) While ProcessExists('iexplore.exe') Sleep(10) WEnd Next ConsoleWrite(@ScriptLineNumber & @CRLF) EndFunc ;==>_Example EDIT: Try it without and with commented this snippet: ;~ While ProcessExists('iexplore.exe') ;~ Sleep(10) ;~ WEnd Edited November 12, 2016 by mLipok Signature beginning:* Please remember: "AutoIt"..... * Wondering who uses AutoIt and what it can be used for ? * Forum Rules ** ADO.au3 UDF * POP3.au3 UDF * XML.au3 UDF * IE on Windows 11 * How to ask ChatGPT for AutoIt Code * for other useful stuff click the following button: Spoiler Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind.
