TimBehrendt
I am getting crazy, what ever I do, this script steals the focus every time the timer event runs. I tried to get the active window handle and reset it, but this doesnt work reliable :-( Any ideas? Func desktask() Local $aPos = WinGetPos("[CLASS:TFrmDeskTask]") if $aPos[0] <> 1680 Then Local $hWnd = WinGetHandle("[CLASS:TFrmDeskTask]") WinMove($hWnd, "", 1680, 220) EndIf EndFunc For $I = 1 To 99999999999999999 Sleep (5000) If WinExists("[CLASS:TFrmDeskTask]") then desktask() Next Thank you so much for your help!! JohnOne
as far as I'm aware, winmove will always activate the target window. mikell
Resetting the active window works for me ... Func desktask() $a = WinGetHandle("[active]") Local $aPos = WinGetPos("test1") if $aPos[0] <> 1680 Then Local $hWnd = WinGetHandle("test1") WinMove($hWnd, "", 1680, 220) EndIf WinActivate($a) EndFunc For $I = 1 To 99999999999999999 Sleep (1500) If WinExists("test1") then desktask() Next
TimBehrendt
Thank you so much for your help. I am sorry, but your correction steals the focus too. Stealing focus from Window ? Control ? Window, so the cursor prompt disappears, for example in a messanger window Which window ? This one which you move ? I move a program gui calles "DeskTask", every other window looses focus in the given time interval "Every time the timers event runs" ? You mean after call this function desktask() ? Yes What is your OS ? Win 7 Enterprise 64bit Is there an alternative to the WinMove() that doesnt activate the window? JohnOne
If it were me, I'd just wait until the window becomes active through user interaction and then move it. jdelaney
Use ControlGetFocus, to grab the control of the [active] window prior to moving, and then set that ClassNN in ControlFocus after the move. If it's a browser, you would need to get the .activeelement, or something like that, off the dom object. Google it. IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window.
