ADO.au3 UDF - BETA - Support Topic

Hi, all.

I try to use example_PostgreSQL but got an error.

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

Here is my code.

I've installed it x86 and x64 but still get same error.

Installed  psqlODB and still got same error.

Try with   Driver=    instead     DSN=
 

Local $sDriver = 'PostgreSQL ODBC Driver(ANSI)'
....
Local $sConnectionString = 'Driver={' & $sDriver & '}............

Hi @bagas9425, PostgreSQL requires a few steps to configure.  Are you running command line? You should have PgAdmin3 installed. Can you query the db through that?

 

Have set the Firewall/port and set the .conf file for remote access?

@mLipok, for the PostgreSQL, could you please add this somewhere to the example documentation?

for ODBC driver, download here:

https://www.postgresql.org/ftp/odbc/versions/msi/

In Windows Control Panel (now Settings), select ODBC data source, ADD Postgres as "Unicode"

look for name "PostgreSQL35W" -> this is the name to use in the ADO.NET UDF as Service provider

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how to get this to work.

I have downloaded ADO.au3 and I have looked at the exampel in the start of this post.

I have to access a SQL server and I don't know what port I should use.

Not sure what I have to enter in the DSN field.
