Some of my users are having trouble that I confirmed happens "just for them".  Specifically _IEFormElementRadioSelect returns $_IESTATUS_NoMatch for a radio button that clearly exists in the page.  For me using WinXP / IE8 or Win8.1 / IE11 I see few if any symptoms, but when I put together a test on their Win 7 / IE8 platform sure enough it breaks.  The unit test is just a bit of code that changes a radio box value, which triggers a postback, waits for the postback to complete, and repeats with a new value, triggering another postback, repeat 1000 times and call it success.  After some debugging I determined that _IEFormElementGetObjByName was finding the radio button, but _IEFormElementRadioSelect was not, which lead to this bit of code from IE.au3:

Local $oItems = Execute("$oObject.elements('" & $sName & "')")

Which looks valid and works some (maybe even most) of the time on Win 7 / IE 8.  So I modified it to use the similar construct from _IE_FormElementGetObjByName to be:

Local $oItems = $oObject.elements.item($sName)

Which works 100% for me.  So the question now becomes, is this a beta issue, an IE.au3 issue, or an IE issue?  The only real difference is where I place my code to workaround cases where Win 7 / IE8 / _IEFormElementRadioSelect don't do what was expected.

Hello,

I do have the above problem of getting a error:7 extended:3, but the fix does not work. When I replace as instructed to this:

$sName = String($sName)

;Local $oItems = Execute("$oObject.elements('" & $sName & "')")
Local $oItems = $oObject.elements.item($sName)

If Not IsObj($oItems) Then
__IEConsoleWriteError("Warning", "_IEFormElementRadioSelect", "$_IESTATUS_NoMatch")
Return SetError($_IESTATUS_NoMatch, 3, 0)
EndIf

my script starts running, but fails at the line

Local $oItems = $oObject.elements.item($sName)

with the following error:

 56bc83a86fe0e_11-02-201612-00-32.jpg.bf4

Funnily enough, when I access form elements directly from my script as

$oElements = $thisForm.elements.item("removeBsKey")

it works. I am really stuck.

On a side note - it worked fine in August '15 with a very old version, but I do not know what my IT did to my machine to change the behaviour.

Thanks a lot.

Steven

Are you using COM Error Handler ?
If no then please look here:  How to use IE.au3  UDF with  AutoIt v3.3.14.x

As a quick (note tested) work around try to use this:

$oElements_coll = $thisForm.elements
if Not @error Then
    $oElements_coll.item("removeBsKey")
EndIf

EDIT: which AutoIt version you are using ?

Version should be the latest as I re-downloaded today. I am not sure how to determine the version as I did not install, but use the "just run it" version.

I now set the error handler as described. The error in IE.au3 for .elements is gone, but now i am getting the NoMatch again. So it may be my fault (again).

Script Code:

;I already started with an IE instance in $oIE and did some stuff to it that worked, so the instance is fine
$thisForm = _IEFormGetObjByName($oIE, "assignmentForm")

; $thisForm is also working or I would be getting an error 1 from IE.au3
_IEFormElementRadioSelect($thisForm, 1137, "removeBsKey")

Still I get @error: 7, @extended: 3

HTML:

The page starts earlier and goes on with more radio options in the group, but I think you will get the idea. I know that in this example the radio I want to check is already preselected. Nevertheless this may not be the case and I want to make 100% it is selected.

Thanks a lot!

Oh my god... I am soooo silly.

I forgot the _IELoadWait($oIE) after I clicked a button. Now it is working.

Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for all the help

      Hey there,
below function returns an "object collection" (not sure if that's the correct term) of 'a' elements grabbed from within //*[@id="J_DetailMeta"].
However, I need the returned collection not to include objects with 'aria-disabled = true'. Is there a way of removing specific objects from such a collection?
      Func GetObjectList($sPicker) $oDetailMeta = _IEGetObjById($oIE, "J_DetailMeta") If Not @error Then $tags = $oDetailMeta.GetElementsByTagName("ul") For $tag in $tags $data_ID_value = $tag.GetAttribute("data-property") If $sPicker = "color" Then If $data_ID_value = '????' Or $data_ID_value = "????" Then $oReturnList = $tag.GetElementsByTagName("a") EndIf ElseIf $sPicker = "network" Then If $data_ID_value = '????' Then $oReturnList = $tag.GetElementsByTagName("a") EndIf ElseIf $sPicker = "storage" Then If $data_ID_value = '????' Then $oReturnList = $tag.GetElementsByTagName("a") EndIf EndIf Next EndIf Return $oReturnList EndFunc $oColorList = GetObjectList("color") For $oColor In $oColorList If StringInStr($oColor.GetAttribute("aria-disabled"), "true") <= 0 Then ; remove object from the collection ??? EndIf Next

Is there probably a way to click ie popup button and hide or invisible popup button in the same time?
      I try to use WinSetState @SW_hide ,
the result is ie crashing or no response because button hide and the next click command won't work...
      $oForm=_IEFormGetObjByName($oIE,"form1") $obutton=_IEFormElementGetObjByName($oForm,"btn_OK") $hWnd = _IEPropertyGet($oIE, "hwnd") _IEAction($obutton,"focus") ControlSend($hWnd, "", "[CLASS:Internet Explorer_Server; INSTANCE:1]", "{Enter}") WinWait("", "確定存檔嗎?") WinSetState("","確定存檔嗎?",@SW_Hide) ControlClick("", "確定存檔嗎?", "[CLASS:Button; TEXT:確定; Instance:1;]")

      Hey there!
I am having a problem with clicking a button in IE. As you can see in the code, there would be a class name to click it, but since this button exists several times with exactly the same code, I can only use the "Noch nicht veröffentlicht" to separate it from the others. But this part is just pure text without any classification.
      "<div class="checkmark" data-v-1e5b1f70=""><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" class="icon" viewBox="0 0 16 16" data-v-1e5b1f70=""><circle cx="8" cy="8" r="8" data-v-1e5b1f70="" /></svg></div>Noch nicht veröffentlicht"
I was trying to click it with:
      #include <IE.au3> local $oNNVs = _IEFormGetCollection($oIE2) For $oNNV in $oNNVs If String($oNNV.innertext) = "Noch nicht veröffentlicht" Then _IEAction($oNNV, "click") EndIf Next and:
$inputs = $oIE2.document.getElementsByTagName("div") For $input In $inputs If $input.innertext == "Noch nicht veröffentlicht" then $input.click() EndIf Next But nothing seems to work. Thanks for the help!

      Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for a way to use an already open Internet Explorer (IE) window (if one is up and running) and then navigate to a new URL in a new IE tab.
I thought that _IECreate would easily meet my needs. However, when I use the following script:
      #include <IE.au3> Local $oIE = _IECreate("https://" & $Server & ":8444/", 1, 1, 0, 1) ...with one or more open IE windows, it still opens yet a new IE window.
Are there any other ideas for how to reliably use an already open IE windows and then how to open a new tab in IE to navigate to a new URL?
      Regards,
      TX Techie
