Hi,

I am using the lates AutoIt v3.3.16.0 on Windows 10 x64 NL.
When I hit <F5> and run the code below in x64 mode, the program freeze and timeout with no data from _FTP_ListToArray.

If I change the  #AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=y to #AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=n then the code just works.
X64 compiled programs are less detected as false positive, so I would like to get this code working in X64.
Sp, does anyone know how I could get the code working compiled with x64 checkbox ?

#Region ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI ****
#AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=n
#EndRegion ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI ****
#include <FTPEx.au3>
#include <Array.au3>

Local $sServer = 'ftp.gnu.org'
Local $sUsername = ''
Local $sPass = ''

Local $hOpen = _FTP_Open('MyFTP Control')
Local $hConn = _FTP_Connect($hOpen, $sServer, $sUsername, $sPass)

Local $aFile = _FTP_ListToArray($hConn, 2)
ConsoleWrite('$NbFound = ' & $aFile[0] & '  -> Error code: ' & @error & @CRLF)
ConsoleWrite('$sFileName = ' & $aFile[1] & @CRLF)
_ArrayDisplay ($aFile,"FTP List")

Local $iFtpc = _FTP_Close($hConn)
Local $iFtpo = _FTP_Close($hOpen)

Not sure if it ever worked in 64 bits mode. internally it uses wininet.dll maybe search on your system for all the different versions you have and maybe explicitly point to the wininet.dll thats 64 bits in the FTPEx.au3.

I can imagine problems with boundary alignments of structures used internally.

I checked it works on my system in 32 and 64 bits version (no time to install latest AutoIt version but suggest to go back 1 version of AutoIt)

  • Running:(3.3.14.5):C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\autoit3_x64.exe
  • OS:WIN_10/1909  CPU:X64 OS:X64  Environment(Language:0409)  CodePage:0

I was running v3.3.14.5 before I updated to the newest release  v3.3.16.0.
Now I just tested at home on WIn 10 21H2 Home NL x64 and the code won't run with neither X86 or X64.

The script makes connection ti the FTP server.
Chaging the currentdirectory works.
But the following line will hang the script as if it is in a loop:

Local $aFile = _FTP_ListToArray($hConn, 2)

Other commands like getting the size of a file on the FTP server will also hang the script.

This is really a strange problem.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be or has a workaround ?

No problem at all. But I was already having problems on v3.3.14.5.
That's even why I updated to the newest version.

Also I forgot to tell that at home my Autoit version is still v3.3.14.5.
On this system the FTP-script won't work at all (neither on x86 or x64).☹️

@NineYES!   YES!  YES!

After disabling Windows Defender Firewall everything start working.
Because I have used AutoIt to FTP files in the past and the script was working in x86 at work, I never suspected the firewall to be the issue.
Also I am still "old school" and think of  firewalls to keep things out and not to keep thing from getting out😁

So the solution is to adjust the firewall settings to allow my executable to get thru....
You really learn something every day!😀

Adding the executable to the firewall should work, hoewever does anyone know a way to exclude the runtime when developping with SciTE and hitting the <F5>.
Opening my firwall to let AutoIt3.exe thru, seems so drastic....

Add AutoIt3.exe and specify the destination URL and destination PORT then you will minimize the size of the hole in the firewall.

True, but with my little memory, I would forget and then after a few months, there would be another apps using different spec and it would not work...But it may be just me :ermm:
