My crystal ball is currently in the shop for repair, so you'll need to supply more details so that I can assist you better. 😉

  • I notice that you are running the x64 version of AutoIt. Does the error still occur if you switch to x32? In case you aren't aware, you can easily accomplish this by adding one line at the top of your script --
    #AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=N
  • It appears that you are running W10. Can you share more details, such as the specific version number, home / pro / etc?
  • Switch the debug level to Full, rerun the script and post the new logs.

P.S. Your logs will be easier to read if you use the same method suggested for posting code.

Yes it does crash using all browser types, and when I'm running this I use the Test Run in SciTE and this is the output I get:

Is there another way to run it?

As you know, a GUI where you make selections when you run the script. The 2nd dropbox allows you to change the Debug level. The default is "Info", and I'm wanting you to change this to "Full" before clicking the Run Demo button. This should help isolate which line is causing the issue. Based on the prior logs that you've posted, it appears to either be the call to _WD_CapabilitiesStartup or the initial call to _WD_CapabilitiesAdd.

The other thing you could check is the version of Json.au3 that is being used. Please check the file header for this information.

If I can suggest something.  I do not want to reduce the immense effort you did @Danp2 on WebDriver.  I am a great fan of what you did.  But (there is always a but, my wife keeps saying) WD_Demo is the worst thing you did.  It is way too complicated to a noob to follow.  Just saying with all the respect I have for what you have done.

wd_demo.au3 demonstrate what you can to do, this is not intendend to demonstrate how to write user code.

Thus mentioned issue on github was created.
