Since I made my specific channel for tutorials, I have now chosen to make the original videos on techwg channel unlisted, upload them on my new channel TutsTeach (channel is 1 year old and active), made a new playlist on the new channel and removed the videos on techwg from the playlist on techwg and put the new videos on TutsTeach on there. So nobody will be without, if people bookmarked the individual videos from techwg or the original playlist, the links will still work. I have also updated the AutoIt wiki page with the new playlist URL on the correct TutsTeach channel.

I have created a new video on hotkeys and two videos on automating programs. The first of the two automation videos covers step by step automation of an installer using MouseClick and the second video just covers additional methods of interacting with controls on windows to make sure people have different methods which will fit the particular situation they are scripting around.

The official playlist link is

Well I suppose it depends on your view point. These tutorials are about helping people learn AutoIt. The place people would likely go to get help on learning AutoIt is this section. So it is the best place for them to be found by the people who are most likely looking for help and thus be helped by them. I could have put them in chat but it would not be as effective placement as the only people who are going to look there are people looking to "chat" about things. Also developer chat section is only for chatting about the development of AutoIt it's self I think.

Well I do not recall hearing anything about this when I first announced that I was making tutorials in this section of the forum, but it was quite a while ago so I may not remember correctly. If this should actually be in a different section one of the staff should be able to move it there rather than me double posting.

Yes it was. Since I moved my videos it got me in the mood for making some more tutorials since many people have been benefiting from the ones I had done up to that point and have requested more. I think I may either do GUI's next or do a couple of other function tutorials which can provide the groundwork for a tutorial on how to add a GUI to a script to add interactivity etc.

I just added a quick update one to add the information about the control ID for times when the class name and instance do not change when you have to disable spy++ to gain access to certain controls. Using a control ID is another great and "important to know" way to target a control.

Out of curiosity, what software do you use for recording?

Your tutorials are very good for beginners, very well spoken and clear.

Great stuff.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

There is a free alternative though, in case you want to experiment with such things: https://obsproject.com/ It does not have any editing capability but it would get the recordings done, at which point I am sure there are free editing software packages that could do some basic editing. Its been a while since I tested it so I am actually playing with it again right now :) it is pretty nice actually, especially if you plan on live streaming things (which I don't do).

Thanks. I have been using CamStudio for some time now and it's great for short videos, but now I am looking for something that is easy to use and offers editing options too.

Well I do highly recommend Camtasia Studio. It's not inexpensive though.. but it is very functional and easy to use. I would suggest trying that free one I mentioned first and then find a good free editing solution before dropping money on a paid solution, because you might just like the functionality of the free ones and save yourself some money.

btw.
From your tutorials I really learned a lot of correct English pronunciation of many names of graphical user interface components, or at least I hope so.

I listened and I listen to the lecture again.
