Calender with tracking

19 posts in this topic

I'm trying to find out if there is a way of changing the background/font/style of specific days within a GUICtrlCreateMonthCal. I want to be able to mark events on the days and have it display the information in a subtle way (kinda like Google calender). I also want to ultimately integrate the outlook calender.

Here is a base:

#include <DateTimeConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
$GuiCalender = GUICreate("Calendar", 225, 154, 390, 213)
$MonthCal1 = GUICtrlCreateMonthCal("", -56, -56, 337, 260)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
GuiCtrlSet
While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

    EndSwitch
WEnd

So I tried this on my windows 7 machine and my windows 8 machine:

#include <DateTimeConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <GUIMonthCal.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <Misc.au3>
#include <TrayConstants.au3>

Opt("TrayMenuMode", 3)
Local $idCal = TrayCreateItem("Open Calender")
TrayCreateItem("")
Local $idExit = TrayCreateItem("Exit")
TraySetState($TRAY_ICONSTATE_SHOW) ; Show the tray menu.

While 1
    Switch TrayGetMsg()
        Case $idCal
            $mouseCoords=MouseGetPos()
            CalPopup($mouseCoords)
        Case $idExit
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func CalPopup($mouseCoords)
    $GuiCalender = GUICreate("Calendar", 225, 154, $mouseCoords[0]-225, $mouseCoords[1]-154,$WS_POPUP)
    $idMonthCal = GUICtrlCreateMonthCal("", -56, -56, 337, 260)
    local $msg
    GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
    While 1
        If _IsPressed('01') then ToolTip("")
        If _IsPressed('1B') then
            ToolTip("")
            GUIDelete($GuiCalender)
        EndIf
        $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
        Switch $nMsg
            Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
                GUIDelete($GuiCalender)
                ExitLoop
            Case $idMonthCal
                $msg=_GUICtrlMonthCal_GetCurSelStr($idMonthCal)
                $mouseCoords=MouseGetPos()
                _GUICtrlMonthCal_SetColor($idMonthCal, $MCSC_TEXT, 0xB02B00)
                ToolTip($msg,$mouseCoords[0],$mouseCoords[1])
        EndSwitch
    WEnd
EndFunc

On my win8 machine, no color change happens, but on my win7 machine, the colors do change. Is this a win8 issue? I'm running v 3.3.12.0

Same here on my Window 7 64 bit machine.
The example script for _GUICtrlMonthCal_SetColor doesn't work either. Compiled for 32 adn 64 bit with 3.3.12.0 and 3.3.15.0.

I've been trying to figure out the issue by looking at the UDF, but I'm not understanding sure how the UDF works. Is this working for everyone else? I tried this on a windows 10 (x64) machine, a windows 8.1 (x64) machine, and a windows 7 (x32) machine as well as the example script. The windows 7 machine worked the best, but it still didn't work correctly (it only let me change the title color... and only let me change it to Blue).

To make it easier to compare the behavior of different versions of Windows please always select the same month and date. Now you have Oktober/November and 3/20 (today)/22.
Maybe there is a difference when the date is in the past as compared to being in the future.

Setting the Classic-Style Theme before GuiCreate with:

DllCall('uxtheme.dll', 'none', 'SetThemeAppProperties', 'int', 0) ; Classic-Style

works in Win 10.1 64 with AutoIt 3.3.12.1. Setting the Theme after GuiCreate but before GUICtrlCreateMonthCal works also, only the GuiTitle looks like Win 10.

When you want to change the theme only for the MonthCal you have to add

DllCall('uxtheme.dll', 'none', 'SetThemeAppProperties', 'int', 7) ; Standard-Windows-Style

before the Creation of other controls.

Manually switching to classic theme works here with 3.3.14.0 and 3.3.15.0.
Switching the style as described by AutoBert works as well for 3.3.14.0 and 3.3.15.0

Ya seems to be a theme issue on my work machine as well. Not something that I feel like getting into troubleshooting on every machine... Looks like I'll just use sharepoint.

      Hello,

      I'm new to AutoIt...

      I´m a bit lost. ... Is there any way to extract the month from the date and time picker?

      I created a dtpicker:

      $date_now = @MDAY&"-"&@MON&"-"&@YEAR
      $MonthCal1 = GUICtrlCreateMonthCal($date_now, 16, 16, 193, 180)

      When the user chooses a different date, i want to read it, and, if possible, i want the values seperatly. (day - month - year).
      I spent several hours trying to find the answer, and this can't be so difficult i guess. (This is very simple in VB..)

      Anyone???

      Thanks in advance, and sorry for the poor english.

      Best regards,
      Rody
