The program has been updated, version remains unchanged.

  • Added 64-bit version of the program.

Very very nice job. Your tool is wonderfull !

I have just one remark. For testing, I did create a GUI with several controls, and a password input.

AutoIt Window Info can retrieve the password, but not Control Viewer.

I sent Yashied a PM, really I spent some time trying to figure out how to read some controls in Windows 7 control panel and cannot (my coding skills are very poor). So I would really like to see the source and learn how to read some of these items.

All of the links in his .sig are the same URL and it's down - so I hope we can see some of these tools again, it looks like there is much hard work inside!

I believe this is a recent copy of this script with resources. I may have altered it somewhat, but I'm fairly sure it's the same functionality.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Thanks. When I try to run your version, the Browse tool doesn't work (and compiling gives some errors but I think those I can fix).

I got the same issue, which is one of the reasons why it may not be100% original. There's an issue with the script, do a search for "browse tool" in the section where it tests if it's compiled or not that is supposed to set the icon image to the control for the browse tool. Just needs some tweaking to get it to work correctly, which I haven't done to this version.

I think I figured out what the issue is with the browser tool icon. If you specifically set the icon image in the creation of the control it works fine. But if the filename parameter of the function is blank, GUICtrlSetImage won't update it later. It obviously worked before, but not now. I'm wondering if something changed from when this first came out until now that causes this.

EDIT: I figured I should put the corrected code that works with 3.3.8.1 and 3.3.9.4

If you search for the Browse Tool text in the script, and change the code from below the CreateGroup function to just before the Info Group comment, it should work.

 

EDIT 2: I tried running the original code in 3.3.6.1 and it worked fine, so it's an issue with AutoIt versions above that.
