The table contains the headers:

What is meant by a 32 bit value?

a) operating system?

b ) compiled file?

c) other value?

Add the examples of frequently asked questions. That is, add the examples of problem solving. Or make reference to the topic of the forum, in which the problem is solved.

HotKeySet() help states:

The following hotkeys cannot be set:

Ctrl+Alt+Delete It is reserved by Windows

 The same is true for Ctrl+Alt+NumPadDot
Ctrl+Alt+NumPadDot performs the same action as Ctrl+Alt+Delete
At least on Win7
Only difference is that Hotkeyset returns
0 for Ctrl+Alt+Delete
1 for Ctrl+Alt+NumPadDot
Here a small reproducer:

For me, DEL is the NUMPADDOT key.

In fact from the key internal coding it is not but you are right the behavior must be the same as Windows do the same.

Jon need to fix the internal behavior to avoid return = 1

Returns a handle to an HBITMAP if $sFileName is empty.

If called with $sFileName then the image is saved to the file and nothing is returned.

Wrong, When a file name is given, Success returns bool True, and failure returns int 0.

I refactored the example for _WinAPI_SetWinEventHook and made it close the script when notepad is closed.  Other changes include use of static and using the function pointer (correct autoit terminology?).  I avoided the use of const because I'm aware that it isn't very popular on these forums.  I put some new lines between code statements to make it easier for beginners to see what's going on in the code.

Edit: I just saw that $hEventHook is declared globally and used as a parameter for _EventProc.  Would this cause issues?

I refactored the example for _WinAPI_SetWinEventHook and made it close the script when notepad is closed.  Other changes include use of static and using the function pointer (correct autoit terminology?).  I avoided the use of const because I'm aware that it isn't very popular on these forums.  I put some new lines between code statements to make it easier for beginners to see what's going on in the code.

Edit: I just saw that $hEventHook is declared globally and used as a parameter for _EventProc.  Would this cause issues?

Edit: forgot to run Tidy.

I don't think so but the example is not working under Windows 8.1 at least, the system menu does contain "Status Bar"

Even if you remove the checking the _GUICtrlMenu_InsertMenuItem() is not working

 

I don't know how to correct this example

No, that's wrong. There is no such thing as function pointer in AutoIt.

That term can be used only colloquially here and there and shouldn't stick.
